Former S.C. Rep. Ralph Norman will not mount a bid for Lt. Governor, sources tell FITS.

In fact, we’re receiving reports that Norman has filed paperwork to run for his old seat in the S.C. House of Representatives, which is being vacated by longtime RINO Carl Gullick.

Three years ago, Norman was hammered by Rep. John Spratt in one of the most poorly-managed GOP Congressional bids of all-time. In the years since, he has been touted for numerous races – most notably the increasingly crowded race for Lt. Governor.

Norman will have to win a special election to reclaim his old seat, but that process became much easier today when Republican Greg Rogers announced that he would suspend his campaign and endorse Norman’s bid.

“My reason for entering this race was to bring the knowledge, experience, and conservative energy needed for our community,” Rogers said. “Mr. Norman is a proven conservative legislator and strong advocate for positive development in the district and state.”

Meanwhile, the Lt. Governor’s field is now down to Florence businessman Ken Ard, Afghan war vet Bill Connor and two sitting State Representatives – Ted Pitts and Tim Scott. Also considering a bid is Mike Campbell, the son of former Gov. Carroll A. Campbell, Jr.

The state of South Carolina will LOSE a great man that WOULD be THERE to help improve our goverment. If NORMAN runs for the House of Rep. in York County, they will be a very lucky county and the REST OF THE CITIZENS in South Carolina will miss out on Ralph Norman and his great leadership. If everyone would look at his record, talk to him or his wonderful family EVERY CITIZEN OF THIS GREAT STATE would want NORMAN as there GOVERNOR or CONGRESSMAN because he would make a difference and that difference would be for the GOOD OF THIS STATE and EVERY PERSON that is a citizen of this state. Good Luck Mr. Norman and I just wish I could move to York County and have your professional leadership that will benefit your citizens!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, this has already been good news for York County. Norman putting his name in the ring has actually narrowed the field.
Getting Greg Rogers out of this race is public service of the highest order. Anyway Norman can announce he’s running for County Council against Rogers’ business partner and fellow bad boy Paul Lindemann?
BTW, nice pic of downtown Fort Mill, which is in the district. But Norman lives in Rock Hill.
