We’re not sure what it takes to become a “senior reporter” at Star magazine, but apparently all it takes to tumble from such a lofty journalistic perch is admitting that you’re clinging to somebody on the down cycle of their fifteen minutes of fame.
Star senior reporter Kate Major (above) resigned from the magazine last week citing a conflict of interest between her, um, “reporting duties” and her relationship with Jon Gosselin, the male lead in what we’ve come to refer to as the Great National Drama.
First of all, Miss Major, you work for a celebrity gossip rag, people, not the friggin’ Wall Street Journal. Throwing the term “conflict of interest” out there only makes you look ridiculous.
Second of all, according to Gosselin, Major’s claim that the two are in a “relationship” is complete B.S. The two never did anything together, he says, seeing as he’s hitting this skank instead.
So … what do we call Kate Major’s blip on the celebrity gossip radar screen? Fifteen milliseconds of fame?
