Anyway, forty years after what many argue is the defining accomplishment of human kind, do you really believe that “they” put a man on the moon?
For the record, we do. In fact, our founding editor met up with Apollo 16 moon walker (and Lancaster, S.C. native) Charlie Duke once, back in the day, and he told Sic Willie the whole thing was on the up and up.
Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin – the guy who followed Neil Armstrong out the door of the Apollo 11 lunar module after his “giant leap for mankind” – certainly doesn’t take too kindly to the conspiracy theorists. In fact, he once punched a documentary filmmaker in the face for claiming the moon landings were a hoax.

What’s with conspiracy wackos? For this to have been a hoax then the USSR would have been involved in the cover up also. Not to mention that of ALL the thousands of people who would’ve had to keep a secret that huge not one of them has taken the bucks to appear on Oprah and tell all..

I have to say two quick things about these Moon-landing conspiracy whackjobs:
1. As a former employee of the US Gov’t involved in REAL conspiracies and secret-squirrel activities (the legal kind, of course), I can most assuredly tell you that the USG is absolutely incapable of keeping any damn thing a secret for more than a week or two if it involves anything interesting and/or more than three people. Just can’t do it. Period.
2. I loved the line an astronomer uttered on a special documentary the other night as he was explaining that undergrad college kids in his classes shoot lasers at the sensors left on the Moon’s surface by several Apollo missions dozens of times a year to measure the distances between the Earth and Moon. When asked how the conspiracy kooks rationalize the irrefutable existence of the sensors on the moon, he said “they just don’t ask me.” Probably too busy scheduling meetings with the CIA/JFK kooks, the Bigfoot kooks, and the UFO kooks…

Never happened.
We cant find some towel head that crashed two planes into the world trade center and killed THOUSANDS of folks……but we walked on the moon in the 60’s? Give me a f@#$ing break Wellington.

We are a much dumber, lazier, and fatter America than we were in the 1960’s. I doubt if we have the brains to send a man on the moon again. All those smart German rocket scientists have since died. We’ve dumbed down our schools to the point that a high school education is worthless and a college degree is increasingly meaningless.

Washington can’t even keep the Chinese from downloading the technical specs for the F22 from our super secure computer systems but they can keep a secret cover up of this magnitude for 40 years??? YGBKM W!
If this were faked the USSR would have blown the whistle 40 years ago. They were monitoring the mission as closely as NASA.

yes they landed on the moon, I believe that! However I dont believe that 2 planes can knock down 3 buildings and they fall at the rate of gravity straight down through the path of greatist resistance without it being an implosian! Btw we have been able to fly a airliner by remote control since the 60’s! Hell we put a monkey in space by remote control so it would have been easy to override a pilots control of a plane on 911! BTW toyota kawasaki the Ron paul People are not going away we are going to take the country back to its founding documents come Hell or High water!

Gone to Cape Kennedy—-as I believe we called it then-—to protest? Refuse to pay, a la Joan Baez, the portion of my taxes that goes to NASA? Run for Dog Catcher on the slogan, “Keep your damned hands off the moon!”?
