Scott Running For Lt. Governor
Freshman S.C. Rep. Tim Scott – the first African-American Republican elected in this state since Reconstruction – is mounting a bid for Lieutenant Governor, multiple independent sources have confirmed to FITS.
Scott, a former Charleston County Council chairman and longtime ally of S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford, will join a crowed field that already includes S.C. Rep. Ted Pitts, former Rep. Ralph Norman, Afghanistan veteran Bill Connor and Pee Dee businessman Ken Ard.
Also rumored to be contemplating a bid? Mike Campbell, who almost upset Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer in 2006.
Scott could not be immediately reached for comment.

translation…he won’t win reelection to his house seat, so he has to go out pursuing higher office. Oh, my hero.

I heard Ken Ard is the man to beat for Lt Gov. A business guy with an economic development record in Florence County
Has $100K on hand and will continue to raise big money. Scott should think twice before getting into the race.

This gets him off the House floor. We need to elect a fiscal conservative to take this seat!!!

Damn, these guys are all the same. They just can’t get enough glory or fame…they just have to keep feeding the ego.
Mr. Scott…how bout serve your house district. Simple and sweet. Serve them.

Can you imagine Scott presiding in the Senate next to the Confederate General!! That would be very interesting indeed.

The same Tim Scott whose first action in the House was to vote for the Speaker’s vendetta to strip the real House reformers of their committee seats. Then he took an LCI seat as payback. Scott is just one more dirtbag out for himself.

Connor? Man of experience? In what? Philandering? Living off his doctor wife while advocating more traditional roles for women in society? He’s a racist, sexist slime and isn’t morally fit to hold public office.

I guess he’ll wrap up the all-important black
Republican vote. ERRR, never mind.

A collection of mental pygmies and a house-boy. Who’d a thought Andre would shine by comparison to these fools.

There must be someone in the House or Senate with a distinguished record that would run so we can get a good candidate with a good record. We don’t have that yet.

No more Republicans folks…. can’t you understand that party doesn’t practice what it preaches.
Republicans have torn America to pieces…. on purpose??? Seems so.
And these C Street guys have twisted Jesus into Hitler.
I have been living under Hitler. I’ve been told that I no longer have rights. I have been told to enforce the law privately while I am being profoundly abused by the powers that be in this state.
I won’t shut up and I won’t go away.
THIS IS AMERICA> not Mark and Lindsey’s country, whatever they think it is, IT IS NOT>
People your tax dollars have been spent abusing me profoundly.

Served with Bill Connor…not impressed at all! He won’t do us any favors as a state. Tim Scott is a sellout…not impressed at all! Verdict is out on Pitts and Ard.
