SC Unemployment Edges Up In June
South Carolina’s unemployment rate edged up to 12.1% in June according to data scheduled to be released Friday by the S.C. Employment Security Commission.
That’s another record high, but represents a slightly smaller increase than experts originally predicted.
May’s revised unemployment rate – the nation’s third highest – came in at 12.0%.
South Carolina’s top economists estimated that June’s rate would be fall somewhere between 12.3 – 12.5%.

While unemployment went up, so called fiscal conservative leaders were wasting your money.
According to NewsMax, A CONSERVATIVE news site, Mark Sanford spent 37,600 on five overseas flights, including one that included a visit with his girlfriend, and flew first class or business class, WHILE ALL OTHER STATE EMPLOYEES FLEW COACH!
I guess we should just wait for Nikki Haley to be governor if we want fiscal conservatism….no,wait….according to the same site, so-called fiscal conservative Nikki Haley also likes to fly with style. On a trip representing SC, while other state employees and representatives were able to fly round trip to China for between $1900 and $3900….Ms. Haley’s ticket was only $6900!
FITSNews, why havent there stories appeared on this site?
If other GOP leaders who were on the governor’s hit lists went out on the state dime and ordered a bagel instead of dry toast, this site would be blazing it with headlines like “FATASS RINOS eat well while SC children starve”.
Sanford is a fraud and apparently Nikki is as well.

Where’s Sanford’s comment(s) and suggestions on this? Oh, he’s gone on vacation-again. Wasn’t his campaign slogan Leadership? What a joke.

SC has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. Looks like we need even MORE Republicans in office to solve this.

All I can say is free market and low taxes will bring jobs and growth….Whether Sanford is Liberterian enough to achieve growth in this state while others struggle is hard to say when the rest of the state government is full of RINOS and Facists…I know it will take a total collapse of the Federal government and revolution for things to change and for states to follow…I hope that day comes soon…I am soooo tired of all this bullshit…Long live Liberty

Nikki is the alternative to sanfraud?
She’s toast. Don’t waste time sic(k) willie.
Unless she’s paying brazillions of dollars, she’s not worth yer pathetic efforts. Yer reputation is already stained. Supporting her will only drag you deeper into the republicrat tar pit. You knew sanfraud was milking us taxpayers on his boondoggles. And you did nothing. williefraud.
