For the last 4 years, every time I’ve had a bitchfest with someone about Mayor Bob, I always ended it by saying, “He’s the only thing between us and a nig for mayor.” …I told you so.

We need a conservative mayor who will cut property taxes and sales taxes. Only then will this city be the best it can be. Benjamin would be a duplicate of Bob, tax and spend democrat who uses every issue to divide a wedge with the citizens of this great city and area.

Columbia has a history of mayor’s wearing out their welcome, do we remember who the mayor was that Coble beat? And before that? As a former resident of Columbia and frequent return visitor it is time for the Capital city to get a new mayor with new ideas. Who knows if you had him 4 years ago you might still have the Inferno,the Bombers, SCANA would still be downtown; and downtown would not look like a ghosttown after 6pm…teg

As a republican, I would have voted for him over the current AG and definitely vote for him over the current Mayor. The republicans are pissing me off by their lack of principles.

I hope he makes it official and runs. I know a lot of people, including myself, who were in favor of him for Attorney General when he ran for that office; I think he would’ve done well there, and I know he would benefit the city and/or state in other offices as well. This is a person to get behind.
