Good To Know …
In news that should cause all of us to take a deep breath so that we can ponder its significance, South Carolina’s newly-crowned Beauty-Queen-in-Chief says that our state’s embattled governor should finish his term.
A day after winning her crown (along with $15,000, free car washes and makeup consultations for a year), here’s what Gray Court, S.C.’s Kelly Sloan had to say about S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford, courtesy of The Spartanburg Herald-Journal:
“People make mistakes. I was a little shocked, to tell you the truth. But as a governor, he’s done his job. I do not think he should resign. He’s asked for forgiveness, and I think forgiveness is something we should all have for one another.”
Wow.
Seriously, people. Wow.
And no, it’s not the opinion being expressed that’s shocking … it’s the fact she’s speaking intelligible English.
After all, we didn’t know they’d figured out how to put brains in these boobbots yet …

Why is it that we (the public) ask such questions of beauty queens, rock stars, rappers, actors, athletes, etc. Why should they have an opinion that matters any more than that of the general public?
