Palin: Running To Win?
Sarah Palin is running … literally.
But where? And for what?
The former GOP veep nominee – and soon-to-be former governor of Alaska – is featured in the August edition of Runner’s World magazine, and while the article isn’t getting quite the same level of attention as her surprise resignation announcement yesterday, it does seem like the sort of story you’d do when you’re, well … running for something.
After all, Runner’s World is one of America’s most widely-read monthly magazines, and Palin gets five pages (in the internet version, anyway) to talk about her love of running and other non-political – i.e. non-controversial – things.
That’s positive press you can’t buy – and the pics ain’t bad, either.
There are two theories on Palin’s surprise resignation yesterday – first, that she’s running for President, and second, that she’s running from a scandal.
Obviously, her announcement gave few clues, prompting Palin’s enemies in the Republican Party (and there are many) to immediately come out sniping.
Palin “raised a lot more questions than she answered,” said Ed Rollins, a GOP strategist who advised former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee. “Usually, at a press conference, you answer questions. I think the bottom line is you saw a shooting star come crashing to earth.”
So is Palin running? Or running to stand still?

The only running Palin will do is running from…running from scandal, indictments, an embarrassment of a family, and from her own infidelity.
But if she needs a place to stay I have a spare bedroom, you know, jus sayin, you know, I mean…c’mon, you sayin’ you wouldn’t…yeah right.

The real truth is… Sarah did not take some of the stimulus money. Ya’ll, everything in politics has to do with money. Do not ever forget that. It’s important to remember on every single story.

It is not hard for me to figure out why she left so suddenly. She went from a 94 percent approval rating to just a little over 50 in a matter of a few months. At the rate she was dropping, even her family would have been against her in a few more months.
With the Nation in the shape it is in now, it will take a leader with vision and leadership skills to weather the storm. Palin couldn’t cut it. She had rather sit on the side lines and take the cheap shots. Being a good governor is just a little bit harder than playing high school basketball.
She is really indebted to McCain. He has put her in a position where she can write a book, make a few speaking engagements and become a millionaire. Oh yes, and she can become president, if people are as stupid and she hopes they are.

Palin dropping out combined with the loss of Sanford on the national stage has been a crushing blow. Since November, I’ve been praying for a dream ticket of Palin/Sanford – a perfect combination of stupidity and undeserved arrogance.
Now what will I have to settle for? Bobby Jindal, yeah, sure he does exorcisms in his spare time, but he’s no Palin. Newt Gingrich? Okay, he’s a serial cheater, left his position as House Speaker because of ethical complaints, but he’s no Mark “Shit Happens” Sanford.
What a shame.

Not so fast, Pat. Remember the motto of the greatest state (with the greatest governor) in all the land: “Dum spiro spero.” There’s still plenty of time for marky mark and caribou barbie to make comebacks. They buried nixon 5 or 6 times before he became prez.
Keep hope alive! marky mark for prez in 2012! as for palin, she could serve as veep even if she were in prison. no way she can hold a candle to the crook who occupied that office from January ‘01 to January ‘09.
