fourth

From all of us here at FITS, here’s wishing you and yours a safe and happy Fourth of July …

We may not be “one nation, under God” anymore – nor are we really a free market democracy, for that matter – but we’ve never been ones to get in the way of a good party.

So while you scarf down those hot dogs, chug your favorite cold beverage and try not to blow your fingers off with the “Bling Bling” fireworks assortment (our founding editor’s favorite), here’s a little founding wisdom to remind all of us what the original idea of this little experiment was.

Happy Fourth, yo …

I went to the tea party, eh..it was okay. Seems more like a sales pitch for politicians and media personalities now though. I think the message is being lost and it is now a marketing tool. I did take some pics of Haley though in medium format, hope they come out. Will we see a different meaning for our country next year? Is this one of the last times we can truly say we are a free country and that America is the beacon of freedom against oppression??Or am I talking out my mouth because I have too much hamburger in me?

Damn, Will, that’s depressing. God bless the 20-gauge shotgun my daddy got me when I wass 11, and God bless us all for the willingness and ability to fight to the death those things we know to be right and critical to a democracy that appears fleeting. Let’s be damned if we surrender to the criminally-charged anarchists and “politically correct” who will fold amid a whisper of perceived insult. God bless us and our ancestors who would be appauled, and rightfully so. What in the hell are we doing here, otherwise. Happy Fourth, indeed!

Yes, it was only a matter of time till the selfish corrupt republican politicians took over the tea parties.

Our leaders have killed this country with 16 years of “me first”…and they will continue their behavior until we say enough! Screw the Republican Party…I am going to vote for conservatives only, leaving off the RINO’s and other imposters. Screw them!

The Award For Most Uncomfortable 4th of July Holiday Goes To…

Posted on: July 5, 2009 9:16 AM, by Ed Brayton

Gov. Mark Sanford of South Carolina:

Gov. Mark Sanford will spend the long Fourth of July holiday weekend with his wife, Jenny, and their family in Florida, his office said today.

Sanford will leave for Florida on Friday morning…

Jenny Sanford and the couple’s four sons are spending time with her parents in Loblolly Bay, a gated community in Hobe Sound.

Ouch. Visiting the in-laws after admitting to adultery on national television. Talk about some awkward conversation. I’m guessing that there were more fireworks than just the ones in the skies over the town.

The parties are mere cults; veils to underlying agendas that are surprisingly similar and generally corrupt. The minute we disregard the D or R behind the names, the sooner We the People can filter our the dissonance for clarity and voice.

Damn hym, that is one of the best posts ever. It, however, is too sensible and logical for the lemmings who pull party levers.
