“One Word, Two Letters”

S.C. Lt. Governor Andre Bauer is the subject of a funny piece on Wonkette today, which if we were his advisors would lead us to immediately ditch the accent aigu in his name.

Oh, and counsel marriage.

From Wonkette’s story, entitled “South Carolina Lt. Governor Denies Being Insanely Gay …”

Like most people, South Carolina Lieutenant Governor André Bauer is potentially gay. The evidence is overwhelming, about him being gay. Most obviously, nice accent aigu there, gay guy! And he’s not even married. He’s so hot and powerful and yet not married to a woman! What is up with that. So when Mark Sanford resigns for having sex with a lady, will South Carolina have its first gay governor, André? No, according to the Frenchman himself. None of this.

The Wonkette story then refers people to Bauer’s interview with La Socialista (a.k.a. The State newspaper) earlier this week, in which he brought up the rumors of his homosexuality and spake thus

“One word, two letters. N-O.”

As we’ve noted in the past, this website has some pretty direct confirmation of Bauer’s heterosexuality. Something involving a “helicopter” move, as a matter of fact.

Still, we think that ditching the accent aigu at this point is a smart move for Bauer …

In the meantime, anyone interested in picking up their “Andre Is My Co-Pilot” T-shirts (featuring the accent aigu) should click here.

You never know … they could be on their way to becoming collectors’ items!
