Website Calls For Sanford’s Ouster
An anonymous website has been created that calls on S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford to resign – and aims to unite Palmetto State residents around that idea.
Now the only question is how long before the site gets traced back to a supporter of S.C. Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer?
The website, SanfordMustGo.com, was registered yesterday and blasted out early Monday afternoon to an undisclosed list of recipients – less than a week after the governor’s surprise press conference in which he announced that he had misled his family, staff and the state about an extramarital affair with an Argentine woman.
Here’s the website’s main argument:
He lied to his wife. He lied to his staff. And he lied to you, the citizens of the State he took a solemn oath to represent. Now, Governor Mark Sanford appears to be defiantly digging in. He is desperately clinging to power. He says he’s determined to stay in office at all costs. And we know he won’t stop at anything if he lusts for something – even if the risk is a constitutional crisis.
But don’t we deserve better?
Welcome to the online headquarters where concerned citizens from across South Carolina are making their voices heard in the wake of the most embarrassing scandal in the history of the State! Here, you can sign a petition urging embattled Governor Mark Sanford to resign. You can also contact elected officials who represent you and ask them to stand with you in asking for the governor’s resignation.
It’s time to stand up and reclaim our state!
The website was registered privately.
Emails sent by FITS to the anonymous email address that blasted the website out were not immediately returned.

I would actually guess it is an out of the area group as it refers to “you, the citizens…” not “us, the citizens…”

Oh me oh my!
Dear Palace plotters: Governor ‘Casanova’ Sanford has not resigned as expected!
And you have shot your WAD prematurely it seems.
So if you can get enough names and angry citizens, the guillotine can’t be far behind, can it?
For now Plan A – Public Humiliation moves to Plan B – Average Citizen Outrage…
What ever can plan C be?
What is off center stage waiting to be put into the spotlight?
A constitutional imperative or ultimatum?
…or a very FAT lady singing very LOUD?
Oh me oh my! The plotters have all shot their little WADs they thought were BIG WADS!
Stir the pot some more…

Clearly Andre’s swiftboater is hard at work!

For the record, I’ve never said my wad was all that big. Others have, but I always thought it was pretty average.

I just checked myself, and the person who did it really wanted to keep their identity secret… even a proxy e-mail address

FITS Dear:
You are not a plotter, you are a shooter that shoot Wads in many directions.
And in this story there are more WADs to come, from many directions.

When You Vote Republican You Get Immorality
Newsvine.com… Sun Jun 28, 2009 9:41 PM EDT
Republicans never tire of making public displays of how concerned they are with America’s moral fabric while supporting their own adultery and fornication at the same time. This while they judge others, deny equal rights to gays, plunder America’s treasury on illegal wars, support torture and discriminate against anyone who does not agree with them. Americans been barraged with laws, programs, sermons, demagoguery, the religious right, right wing bigots and all sorts of moral demonization from a Republican political movement whose most powerful pundit is a multiple-times-divorced drug addict who flamboyantly cavorts around with a new girlfriend every few months.
The GOP harbors these deviants and why Americans seem oblivious in caring is beyond words! Americans get more upset over two men kissing in a movie than they do murder, rape or soliticious sexual affairs by Republicans. Perhaps it is their own self righteousness that dictates a gross misjudgment of immorality.
After all, even now that this conduct has been exposed, their instinct, all the way to the highest levels, is to excuse and defend those leaders and offer up the most disgusting defenses, all because preservation of their political power depends on it. This is not some bizarre aberration. This is how they operate and it is who they are.
Republicans and the religious right talk a lot about threats to marriage and families, especially when scaring Americans about gay people. They do this to control, manipulate and raise money in an obscene hypocritical manner; however these right-wingers have the market on breaking up families and marriages, creating orphaned children and hurting people and destroying the moral fabric in America.
The Republican Party nor the right-wing, religious right preachers who claim “family values,” and “pro-marriage” platforms in the context of their Party and their religion in order to propel themselves to power and who cannot remain faithful to their own families and churches, demonstrates the PURE hypocrisy of the right wing and the so called “Christian/Religious Right”.
I must admit I always get a good laugh out of witnessing another one of these “family values” type politicians getting caught with his pants down. I say if a man cheats on his wife, he will cheat on anyone, his wife, his children, his political Party, his church, his congregants and his country.
The truth is that on a personal level these solicitous sexual affairs are none of my business however when elected leaders, taking taxpayer money, stand on their soapboxes and judge others, when they condemn gays and deny equal rights to all Americans, when they destroy the lives of their families and their children, when they use their political power to deny rights and benefits to others and use taxpayer money for self-righteous and religious right agendas then it becomes my business, it becomes Americas’ business.

Why do you always think everything is at the request of the Lt. Gov.? Maybe just a regular person did this. Maybe you did. Maybe my mother did. I do not know, but lets not jump to conclusions.

While I support someone that is willing to make amends, I do not support Gov. Sanford because he misused almost $8,000 in tax dollars to arrange to meet his lover. Had this been any other state employee (even if they choose to pay it back) would be grounds for termination and brought up on criminal charges. Sorry, Gov. Sanford is not above the code of conduct we expect for any state official. To include, the man clearly abandoned his post. This is another form of willful neglect of duty. The affair concerns me as anyone with any kind of morals should be, but the fact of the matter is Gov. Sanford has willfully neglected his duty in office and should be held accountable.

the funniest thing about this whole HILARIOUS episode is the fact that sanfraud cried like a pathetic child at the fact that he got busted. LOL almost as hilarious is that the world class hypocrites rush to his defense (especially this obvious disinformation site) based solely on their partisan interests, but claim that others are acting according to their political ambitions/interests. any “leader” who cant stand in front of his “flock” without bawling tears of obvious self interested remorse (at the exposure of his hypocrisy and nothing else)like a petulant child is no longer worthy of being the leader of anyone.not a state, not a town, not even a fantasy baseball league. isnt this man a military officer? LMAO! i could care less about his affair. his official lies are troubling to the masses, but im not so naive that i believe a stooge politician isnt constantly lying. the real problem with sanfraud is that he is weak kneed crybaby. if he cant stand up there like a man and admit his wrongdoings without blubbering like a baby, how can he make any serious decisions of consequence. LOL what a joke!

That site is pretty lame. You can’t even submit comments like you can here. *Kudos, Will!*
Looks like it might just be a place to take names, email addys, and solicit donations (although I didn’t see how on the latter on a quick perusal).
I was hoping to be able to leave a comment suggesting “we” all meet on the State House steps Saturday at noon and see how many people were OUTRAGED enough to show up in the heat. I’m sure we could count on Bubba Jake Outrage showing up in his sweat suit.

I bet he had a brain bleed from the hit on the head. I know too many people and stories about the same situation. Hit on head by something and within a month or just days, they die. Get checked out at the hospital if you hit your head………. Mandatory people….. http://billymayes.blogspot.com/
