Newspaper Publishes Sanford Emails To Mistress
Earlier today, we reported that La Socialista (a.k.a. The State newspaper) had documentation of S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford’s affair with another woman.
Boy did they ever.
This evening, the newspaper released some of that documentation, which included some fairly hot and heavy exchanges between the governor and his paramour.
For example, here is an excerpt published by the newspaper of an email sent by the governor to the mysterious “Maria” just after midnight on Thursday, July 10 2008 …
(Gov. Sanford -) You have a particular grace and calm that I adore. You have a level of sophistication that so fitting with your beauty. I could digress and say that you have the ability to give magnificent gentle kisses, or that I love your tan lines or that I love the curve of your hips, the erotic beauty of you holding yourself (or two magnificent parts of yourself) in the faded glow of the night’s light – but hey, that would be going into sexual details …
… please sleep soundly knowing that despite the best efforts of my head my heart cries out for you, your voice, your body, the touch of your lips, the touch of your finger tips and an even deeper connection to your soul.”
Wowzers …
Interestingly enough, the paper had the emails for several months but did not bother to verify their authenticity until this week.

Maybe Sanford used his personal email account, but logged in on a state computer. If an IT guy monitored his traffic on a state-owned server that would explain how they had this to leak. Just a wild guess, but nothing these guys do surprises me anymore.

I think it’s pretty shameful that they’re now releasing them. If they weren’t fit to be released 6 months ago, why are they now? They’re just doing it to make money at this point, which is also why they haven’t posted the full contents on their webpage.

When a man writes something like that to a woman, be it email , text, or sign language…..the likelihood of delayed gratification rises faster than the unemployment rate in SC. I wonder if he wrote such a thing to his wife, oh say when she was giving birth to his four sons! What an entitled attitude!

You would think the Governor would write a letter instead of email. A letter usually is between two people and email, espcially sent on a state computer, is open to everyone. Makes you wonder what he was thinking.

I think his emails were beautiful. Women can you get off your high horses and understand that this man was not feeling for all of those years. He was going through the motions. He was living a lie. He had not felt anytihng for sometime. This does not mean that he didn’t care deeply for his wife, his family, his career. Being in love with the love of your life can sometimes be a scary thing and throw you off kilter, especially if you are middle aged and with serious responsibilities. It was very obvious he was flying with out a kite by the way he handled things. I think his wife should divorce him as he obviously realizes he does not love her. Their time has passed. The words he wrote obviously suggest it was more than sex for him, but yes sex enhanced his feelings for the other woman. He should not be condemmed. I love the fact that this wife A. Kicked him out and told him to choose, b. Did not stand by his side at the press conference. However the most disturbing thing he did at that press conference, which is why I said, he must divorce his wife and not continue to live the lie, was when he apologized first to the women he loved, who was not his wife and his wife second. The wife should at the very least file for a legal separation and let this man find out who he really is. My heart goes out to his family. However, I was reading in the paper today about how much his wife did business with him. As crazy as this sounds, his wife did too much for him and was involved in that marriage not as a lover but as a busineess partner. Women that is where you make your mistake with men of this caliber. They spend all day of their lives living these conservative lifestyles sucking all the life out of their lives and when they meet real life it absolutely stuns them. I say, let the wife now go out and find her life with someone who really loves her. End the business relationship and start living life. Don’t hide behind your chidlren and be a marytr. What type of marriage could you possibly have after something like this. You would never know if he came back because of all he could lose or if he really loved you and it doesn’t appear to be that since he apologized to the girlfriend first. So. this is really sad and hurtful, but don’t condemn him. Let him live his life happy.

Who can blame a guy for wanting a newer, younger version to have fun with?
And the reality is women are all fun, happy and willing to please a man until they get the ring on their finger and seal the deal and then it’s all downhill from there.
IMO marriage contracts (which is really what they are) should have expiration dates…like good for 5, 10 years etc. with no penalties for leaving at the end of it.
Everyone knows that marriage was a scam perpetrated by insecure women to trap a man.

All people age, to say that the wife is old and haggard and stops putting out is such a male comment. Men age too and maybe she doesn’t have as much time to take care of herself while raising THEIR 4 children which includes feeding, bathing, playing, activities, school work, religious activities, sickness, Drs appts, Dentist appts, more school work and so on PLUS – PLUS she was helping his career! Then when he is off running the state and sharing his sweet words with another woman you expect his wife to feel loved and nutured and sexy and want to “put out”? Please…take your brain out of your smaller head and put it back where it belongs. It’s all good for husbands to cheat until someone is sticking something where it doesn’t belong in their wife then it’s her fault again… No one wins in the cheating war because you can always find some excuse to blame someone else for you not being accountable for your decisions and accepting those consequences.

Maria – the homewrecker. This woman, married with two children, thank god that she is separated from her husband. A Whore, a homewrecker, with no values. What comes around goes around. She will die with this shame, with this negative legacy and her children and family will have to face this for the rest of their lives. Selfish, self-centered, woman. I hope that in her funeral – everyone will remember her as a homewrecker a witch.

This sounds like the drivel my ex’s “LOVER” was writing to him..I think all who have been victims of this nonsense should put them on line.It would make for great reading……..hopefully they will be together (Mark/Maria) as they deserve each other and leave decent people alone…………..however a relationship starts is how it will end….you are absolutely right no name
