Bush To Obama: You’re Doing It Wrong

After months of keeping his thoughts to himself, former President George W. Bush is finally criticizing the teleprompter that replaced him.

In a speech in Erie, Pennsylvania, Bush took issue with the policies of President Barack Obama while defending his own record.

From the Washington Times:

Former President George W. Bush fired a salvo at President Obama on Wednesday, asserting his administration’s interrogation policies were within the law, declaring the private sector — not government — will fix the economy and rejecting the nationalization of health care.

“I know it’s going to be the private sector that leads this country out of the current economic times we’re in,” the former president said to applause from members of a local business group. “You can spend your money better than the government can spend your money.”

Bush added that “Government does not create wealth. The major role for the government is to create an environment where people take risks to expand the job rate in the United States.”

Wait, what?

Is “Shrub” serious?

Where was all this enlightened pro-free market, fiscal conservatism back when he was enthusiastically ushering us into the socialist age less than a year ago? Or when Republicans were methodically raping the American taxpayer for six years as he presumably picked his nose with his veto pen?

Amazing. Republicans – now out of power – want us to believe that they are all good fiscal conservatives again.

Forget it, quick draw.

Their excesses are obviously being dwarfed by the Marxist march of the current administration (which they’re awfully good at criticizing), but that doesn’t get them off the hook for their own failures.

We are currently drifting toward socialism because Republicans lost their way. Period. End of story.

In other words?

Bury it, Bushie.

Blame Bush first! I’d take George Bush anyday over George Soros.

Georgie boy is an idiot. We failed to connect the dots and let 9/11 happen,
started two unnecessary wars, dam near bankrupted the country, never could find Osama bin laden, tortured innocent people in far off prisons, had out thumbs up our ass on Hurricane Katrina, paid my buddies at Halliburton hundreds of millions of dollars. and pissed off most of the people in the world.

Obama couldn’t accomplish this much in a lifetime.

“After months of keeping his thoughts to himself”

Please, W hasn’t had anything close to a thought in his life.

The share of homeowners reporting price declines in the past year and expected further erosion in the year ahead fell to 28 percent in the second quarter from 35 percent in the first quarter and 43 percent a year ago. “Declines in prices have prompted consumers to view home buying conditions much more favorably, but those same price declines have prompted the least favorable assessments of home selling conditions ever recorded,” Curtin said.

George Bush “let 9/11 happen?”–

Excuse me, that would be Billy Boy Clinton and his incompetent national security team and liberals in Congress like Gorelick who treated the first Twin Tower Terrorists as a domestic legal issue and not a military issue.

Billy Boy Clinton had a least three opportunities to capture Bin Laden and refused to issue the order.

Apparently the CIA didn’t connect the dots, either.

After all, didn’t the CIA LIE to Speaker of the House Pelosi?

Randee, while I wouldn’t agree that “Bush let Sept. 11th happen” statement by any means, by the same twisted logic Cheney used to support anything under the sun, After 1993 we didn’t have another act of Islamic terroism on domestic soild for…8 years. Clinton managed that without even throwing thousands of our best and bravest lives along whith trillions of dollars into the worlds’ biggest sand box.

I still cannot believe that citizens do no support George Bush on his handling of 9/11/2001. Think back he was the one who comforted us in those first few days. We were kind to one another. We hugged our families and were grateful we were all safe. Where are all the 9/11 families? Why do they not support George Bush. Where they mistreated by his administration. Did he not do all he could to help.Did any other president go through what he had to do. He is a public servant, he made many sacrifices to keep us safe. Give the man some respect. How would any other president have handled it. About Gitmo and terrorists I do not give a shit about those pieces of garbage. They should have hung them all. Shame on America! This is why people around the world do not respect us. We will sell our soul to the devil if given the change. Respect your president! Enough bullshit about liberals being supreme. The filt that you spit out is of the lowest morals. Killing babies, men screwing other men…please go and hide under the rock you evolved from.

A pissed off Republican Woman

These responses are from the far side. Bush sought to correct problems with freddie and fannie but was stopped by the Democrats who were making profits by the huge systems. These comments have been made by people with no hinesight. And, of all the “reforms” Obama, oh yes the messiah, has made none has been to these Democrat appendages. Wonder why??? Look who is raking in vast sums by their workings…dems…

Bush did destroy the economy by letting his goon friends go without regulation. Stick on topic people. There is plenty to go around.

Didn’t Clinton spend billions creating a Muslim country within Serbia?

By Doris on June 20th, 2009 at 5:01 pm

Hey, Dick Cheney,

Why didn’t you stop ya boy then?

Republicrats of America seem united on one thing. The smart ones have long since scraped the “W” bumper stickers off their cars.

How about you, sic(k) willie. You still got a “W” sticker on your car?

Or, did you scrape it off to make room for the Palin-Sanfraud sticker?

By newzjunkie on June 21st, 2009 at 2:13 pm

Isn’t he the “Pot” calling the “Kettle” black! Go back into hiding dub-ya!

By nirk on June 21st, 2009 at 5:06 pm

Dubya,

Keep talking! You make a lot more sense than your clueless, statist successor. Thanks for protecting us the last 8 years!

By Bob on June 21st, 2009 at 7:06 pm

I love the folks who say “Bushie, thanks for protecting us .” The biggest attack on our soil was on his watch.Bush took more days off for vacation than any other president during his first 9 months in office- during the same time he received a memo about bin laden wanting to attack. He was, is, and will always be, a clown.

By marie on June 21st, 2009 at 10:39 pm

Summer 2001, G8 sumit in Paris: Europeans knew terrorists were trying to slam planes into buildings. A week before the attack intelligence officer were frantically trying to warn the administration about the danger. W. was more interested in taking vacations than taking care of the country and he destroyed it. We’re bankrupt, the Chinese has us by the balls and the greedy crowd is back to their old shenanigans. And we are far away from socialism, or statism, or communism. Look at the size of the private economy. If the greedy ones had not messed up the place, I’m sure Obama would be happier having to clean up only the messes in Iraq and Afeganistan.

By trudee on June 22nd, 2009 at 9:51 am

Bob,
When was 9/11 planned? Whose Administration repeatedly refused the Sudanese offer to hand-over Bin Laden prior to 9/11?

Marie, Bush was receiving daily briefings while in Crawford, Texas, while Clinton was receiving daily “services” while in the Oval Office, compliments of the interns.

The twin towers and building 7 were the first 3 steel framed buildings to colapse in history due to fire. how did they free fall at the rate of gravity straight down through the path of greatist resistance. If you had dropped an anvel off the top at the time the colapse started it would have hit the ground at the same time as the roof! Why did the twin towers turn to dust as it came down in stead of chunks of concrete? My point is that its not just the Rupublicians, or the Democrats they are all in it together–both parties are guilty! Anyone who thinks this post is obsurd should go youtube building 7, 911 controlled demolition, then google Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, and Patriots Question 911, and Scholars for 9/11 Truth, their are also free movies on the subject on the internet, Zero, and Loose Change Final Cut. go research for your self then get back to me.
