Anti-DePass Facebook Group Forms

“Rusty DePass is an insufferable piece of garbage …”

That’s what over 400 members of a new Facebook group think about the S.C. Republican activist who compared U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama to a gorilla that escaped last week from a Columbia, S.C. zoo.

The social networking website that served as the initial forum for DePass’ unfortunate remark is now home to a group dedicated to his vilification.

Here’s the group’s, um, statement of organization as articulated by North Carolina-based musician James Helper, its founder …

In June 2009, South Carolina GOP activist Rusty DePass referred to an escaped gorilla as an ancestor of Michelle Obama. Need I say more?

Update: It doesn’t stop from these backwoods SCGOP jerks. Mike Green likes making racially motivated jokes at the POTUS’s expense, and his man Adam Piper, political upstart LIKES IT! If you live in SC it’s up to you to help end his political career.

Wow.

This thing has truly taken on a life of its own …

“The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.” Psalm 34: 17-20

I believe Mr. Folks you may have once read from the Word, but it would appear to me you no longer seek or accept it as your guide.

I’m also certain many of your readers have read or heard of the media storm engulfing. “Rusty” DePass. Yesterday I witnessed Rusty display the utmost character and integrity, walk directly into the lion’s den, humble himself before God and man, and do the right thing. His humility and repentance demonstrated his love of the Lord, his faith, his courage, his integrity, and the highest form of honor a man could display. I am proud to call him my friend and brother, and I would ask reasonable men and women to join me in ongoing prayer for Rusty and his wonderful family.

If you don’t mind Mr. Folks would you please answer a question for me? Have you ever done anything indefensible, stupid or just plan wrong, and if so have you sought the forgiveness of those you wronged? I only ask you because I have done some horrible things in my life and I have tried to apologize for them and have sought forgiveness and redemption.

In addition, Mr. Folks I would ask reasonable men and women to pray for you and your readers to examine your own hearts and see what would motivate people to condemn anyone, regardless of their background, mistakes, and errors in the manner of expression used on your site.

I am sure many of your readers roll with glee to see a man make a mistake, but do they get the same glee when they sit quietly and examine their own hearts? I will gladly pray for all of those who utter obscene and vile statements, including your own not so veiled comments.

I can imagine your laughing your heart out at this moment, and you know Mr. Folks unlike you and your musician colleague in North Carolina I am most happy to forgive you both. May God richly bless you and all of those who would judge and condemn me. Thank You.

Rustty and his pack of loser political buddies have killed the conservative movement in this state.

We are left with “pragmatic” RINOs that spend money like water and vote with the wind.

Rusty…how bout you and your buddies get off the stage. Stop protecting your turf and move on. The stakes are getting higher and higher…don’t you think you guys have done enough harm?

Anyone else think adam piper should be asked to step down? What a clown. Karen needs to make sure Piper is expelled from his position. Due to the fact the SCGOP is facing many tough years ahead and this will certainly come back to bite the SCGOP in the arss.

I can not believe the media hasn’t reported on this more, they made more of Sarah Palins comments to David Letterman to get her face in front of the camera than this racist comment by a backwoods inbred racist man. There is no excuse and the media should be ashamed.

Depass is a hateful old man. But practically speaking, all he is doing is driving another stake in the Republican party.

Not all white Southerners are full of such hate though. Young people, black or white, in the South are much like young people anywhere. Most are not walking around with hate spewing through their veins. We just want less than the double digit unemployment we have at the moment. That would be nice.

Whoever you happen to be, Rusty DePass is a friend of mine and your pitiful vitriolic attack on him speaks volumes about your lack of character and of the posters who do not know this charming individual. He has more class in his little finger etc…and as you have never done anything wrong perhaps your parents did. Ooooh, Mr. Knozit!!!!! You are a hateful old whatever and no Tootsie Roll for you. Sincerely, Joe Pinner
