Party At Vincent Sheheen’s House!
“If you can’t smoke it, rope it.”
That was the “hemp policy” articulated by our old biology professor at Presbyterian (S.C.) College back in the day, although neither “smoking” nor “roping” has become the law of the land here in the Palmetto State, lamentably.
That didn’t stop a marijuana advocate named Ricky Loftin from providing State Senator and Democratic gubernatorial front-runner Vincent Sheheen with a “hemp production packet” this week, which we’re guessing is the first step to a rollickin’ good time if you live in Sheheen’s hometown of Camden, S.C.
In fact, it appears as though Sheheen is already in possession of the “goods,” at least if the message sent back to Loftin from his campaign is any indication.
From Sheheen flunkie Tyler Gregg:
I have passed along your information as well as the commercial hemp production packet to the Senator. It is certainly a very intriguing topic which undoubtedly should receive legitimate consideration. I appreciate you passing along this information to our staff. As noted, I have given the packet to the Senator and he will contact you if he has any further questions or comments.
Whoa!
