There’s Another FITS News?
We thought we were without equal or imitation in the universe, but apparently not …
Behold, FITS News, courtesy of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Yup, you read that right, except their FITS stands for “Flexible Image Transport System,” and it’s the digital file format that scientists use to share images like those gathered by the insanely expensive Hubble Space Telescope.
