Oh Brother
George Foreman III – the twenty-six year old son of the former heavyweight champion/ lean, mean fat grilling machine salesman – won his first professional “fight” over Parsons, Tennessee native Clyde Weaver, who will go down in boxing history as an extremely ineffective punching bag.
“Monk,” as the younger Foreman is known (remember, all of his brothers are named George), dropped his “opponent” at the 1:16 mark of the first round.
You can watch the whole “fight” here.
And in case you’re sitting there thinking to yourself “heck, I could have done better than that,” you would be correct.
“Monk” could have danced around the ring punching at air and had a tougher fight.

In defense of Monk Foreman, no one would fight him. He tried for about a year to get a better fight. He will probably have to beat about 20 tomato cans before he inks a real fight.
With rumors about how he has his dad’s big punch, scheduling for him is harder than Furman getting a game with Carolina after they upset the Gamecocks back in the 1980s.
With American heavyweights in such a weakened state, do not be shocked if Monk Foreman ends up as America’s best hope to take the title away from Eastern Europe.
