The sheeple have spoken! Buh-baa, economy!

As long as we keep the same flock of crooks under the same old rules in the statehouse without the people shepherding them in, they’ll keep doing the same thing: ramming through legislation and spending that will lead us like lambs to the slaughter.

We’ve cosseted politicians in the statehouse for far too long. Their wooly excuse making has to be shorn. We need to turn them out to pasture or we the people will be left eating dirt.

Fashizzle, apparently you ain’t checked out the real estate market in ATL. They are having distress sales. To top that off there is no traffic problem either, right? So who is flocking there? Now Charlotte. Wonder why it is that folk who work in Charlotte prefer to live in SC and commute? Charlotte, home of the big bank failures. So to understand your point, a message from a charlatan is just as reliable as one from a truth sayer. Is that right?

These revenue numbers show that sales tax revenue is more reliable. The only way to overcome inertia and get businesses to hire is to dramatically reduce or eliminate the state income tax. Status quo policies will not put people back to work and get the economy going.

CNSYD…your tone is exactly what is wrong with this state. Columbia’s frat-house tradition of mindlessly praising friends and bashing enemies is why this state continues to fail at damn near everything.

If we worried more about discussing the message as opposed to the messenger the majority of our smart and educated children wouldn’t flee to Atlanta or Charlotte the second they able to do so. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. Welcome to SC.

why is is that fitsnews never mentions that SC TAXPAYERS ARE ON THE HOOK FOR THE STIMULUS MONEY WHETHER WE HAD TAKEN IT OR NOT??? it seems like a convenient little detail to omit when trashing the sensible minds that just didn’t want to see that money go to other states while we get the bill. if i’m wrong about that, i’d love to hear why.
