Little Snitches, Big War

Cops in Great Britain are teaching elementary school students how to snitch … on terrorists.

“We’re not trying to scare anybody, we’re just raising awareness,” the cops say in raising their army of Little Brothers.

From the UK Daily Mail:

Hundreds of children as young as ten are being urged to spot potential terrorists and shop them to police.

Up to 2,000 are to attend a safety event where a film will tell pupils that extremist views can develop at school.

But critics condemned the initiative as a nightmare extension of the Big Brother state.

Concerns were also raised that children could become subject to police monitoring if their fellow pupils misinterpreted innocent remarks or play.

Nice.

“Fighting terrorism” has become this ridiculous catch-all – an umbrella excuse to go after anybody whose views don’t fit whatever the current PC definition of “mainstream” is. Now that sort of Orwellian thought suppression is being foisted upon friggin’ ten-year-olds, whose space toy play sessions could conceivably be construed as militant antiestablishmentarianism.

And yes, antiestablishmentarianism is a word.

Anyway, this sort of crap is no doubt coming to this side of the Atlantic soon.

In fact, we have no doubt S.C. Superintendent of Education Jim Rex probably sees dollars signs all over something like this … sort of like S.C. lawmakers saw dollar signs all over pretending that the S.C. State House was a terrorist target.

As if …

It’s ironic, though. We build our whole PC culture around embracing people’s differences – and yet now we’re teaching kids to snitch on anybody who acts “different.”

PC B.S. is coming full circle, people …

Manipulating young minds for total state control. So in ten years when these kids are adults and the government decides it is their duty to report on other “undesirable” activity they’ll be willing participants. Lets just call this the Stasi and be done.
