Gay Penguins Make Perfect Parents
A pair of gay penguins have coupled to raise an orphaned baby penguin.
Vielpunkt and Z – two of six gay penguins in a German zoo – have “got straight down to raising” their adopted baby, according to a zoo statement.
“Since the chick arrived, they have been behaving just as you would expect a heterosexual couple to do. The two happy fathers spend their days attentively protecting, caring for and feeding their adopted offspring.”
It’s news that adds heft – and dimension – to my “homosexuality-as-birth-defect” theory. You know, the one over which Sic Willie keeps taking inordinate grief from the gay community.
Anyway, as state after state legalizes same-sex marriage, (New Hampshire just yesterday succumbed to the “homomentum”) these penguins are evidence that homosexuality is universal. And universality goes a long way toward dismantling the perceived “abomination” of the whole thing.
And that goes a long way toward achieving humanity – not “equality,” that most mendacious of all ideals.
It’s humanity that should be the gays’ goal: Humane regard for that which is – and those who are – inherently something other than equal.
An so what if gays aren’t quite equal … if homosexuality just doesn’t “add up.” Well, neither do 11 fingers or 9 toes.
So what.
Humans are, ironically, the last among the animal kingdom to get the memo about humanity. (Really ironic, since the whole reason it’s called “humanity” is because compassion and empathy – and the capacity to choose to act accordingly – are supposed to be uniquely human traits, the very qualities which differentiate us from mere animals.)
And on that front people suck.
And penguins rock.
They’re cute, they’re compassionate, and they mate for life … which is something else people, straight or otherwise, can’t seem to do.

Much of the homosexual behavior we are seeing these days may be learned behaviors, in both the animal AND human species.
This is not a popular or politically correct stance, but it is possible.
Years back, a male Golden Retriever from the next neighborhood over crawled under our fence and started hunching one of my two Labs who were sisters (the blond one). From that day on, the black one, who was the alpha of the pair, would imitate this behavior to show her dominance.
For whatever reasons, this behavior is being promoted and reinforced in our culture in every available venue. At the library the other day, I checked out the latest novel by an author I used to LOVE reading. It began well enough — but then at only page 7 she is initiating homosexual trysts between two male soldiers.

Homosexuality is a birth defect and not a lifestyle choice. Homosexuality has no moral implications in a secular world, but is considered immoral by certain religious mythologies (theology) for whatever reason (religion is immoral to most secularists).
There are no current methods for resolving the homosexuality issue beyond accepting that it is innate and should not be looked upon as a sexual deviance like pedophilia. The large majority of homosexuals with psychological issues usually present this way as a result of their isolation and lack of acceptance in the overwhelming heterosexual majority.
If homosexuals were willing to address the issue head on, they could publicly and politically sponsor medical research to better understand the cause of this birth defect and perhaps develop a cure.
The current state of activism regarding the LGBT doesn’t jibe with this type of thinking so most of the research on this disorder will continue under the auspices of fetal protein or fetal hormonal disorder research as it is highly unlikely that their is a genetic component to the disorder.
Regardless of the final outcome, homosexuals are human and have the same rights as all humans and should be afforded equal protection under the law and a venue to promote their causes and interests as it pertains to their gender disaffection. Beyond that, the LGBT community needs to participate in all other aspects of social and political life without the need to introduce their sexual preference or gender disaffection. LGBT doesn’t mean you are liberal or conservative or religious or anything else, it means that your gender and your preference of sexual partners is different from the majority and is incompatible for propagating offspring since humans don’t reproduce asexually.
Homosexuality is not a third gender and should not be promoted as a choice or an alternative lifestyle. Discussion about Homosexuality should be limited to gender disaffection and homosexuality should not be seen as a pervasive disorder that somehow skews all other aspects of being human since it is clearly limited to mate preference and the notion that it makes one more creative or expressive is entirely based on media bias and has no basis in fact. The stereotype of LGBT prowess in fashion and art is both negative and condescending to the LGBT human population and somehow derides them as incapable of general ability in all areas of human endeavor which is clearly not the case since LGBT do everything the same way as the non LGBT humans do since they are the same in every way except for mate preference.
