Danica Patrick Fooled Us Again

For the second time in a row, we have fallen victim to the “too hot for TV” tag assigned to a Danica Patrick GoDaddy commercial. And this time, we’re seriously kicking ourselves because we knew better …

During the Super Bowl, we jumped like lemmings from our sofas when we were invited to “see more” of a commercial featuring Patrick and the lovely “German woman from the Dean’s Office” (a.k.a. “Miss Schmidt”).

And why wouldn’t we? After all, they were naked, in the shower and (get ready for the operative word) together.

How did that one end?

Yeah … it was about as disappointing as Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox’s lame lip lock … i.e. an intentionally provocative elevation of girl-on-girl face-sucking expectation that was clearly not met.

Seriously, people. Don’t toy with our reverence for the bisexual tendency in females.

Lie to us about the performance of our stock portfolio, cry “wolf” about thunderstorms with “damaging hail,” assure us that there really is “40% more bodywash” in that tube, hell … drop three overtime games to the Detroit Red Wings in the Western Conference Finals, if you want … just don’t write a bicurious check that bodacious babes like Danica Patrick can’t cash.

It makes us angry.

Anyway, last weekend we saw another “too hot for TV” teaser featuring Patrick and a tantalizingly gorgeous vixen, this one set on a deserted desert highway.

And once again – like a swallow returning to Capistrano – we were irresistibly drawn to GoDaddy.com “to see more,” even though this time we knew exactly what was going to happen.

Now? We’re just hurt.

Honestly, the first time we got played? We were mad. We wanted to break something. Throw somebody into furniture, even.

This time? It’s different.

It’s the sort of silent resignation that can only come from a deep, abiding disappointment in one’s self.

Anyway, in a “confusing” bit of sexual-related karma, Patrick is catching hell from the trans gender community over her new Boost mobile commercial, which in and of itself is about as uncool as teasing two chicks kissing and then failing to deliver.
