These comments are just about covered everyone in town…who have we left out? I’m beginning to question my decision to have moved here..according to this website, they’re ain’t too many people around here you can trust. But at some point these vicious attacks have got to stop. If there is wrongdoing, then it should be dealt with and in the right way. However, the personal and demeaning statements being made are going to ruin an otherwise beautiful community. Leaders who are leaders, step forward, if you have done wrong admit and lets move on, we can be a forgiving community, but allowing this thread to continue this mindset to press forward is harmful to our citizens. You bear the responsibility to exercise some oversight…I beg of you, suffer humility, be the example we look to…stop this madness. Senator Sheheen, Rep Vick, Mayor Hunter and others, your citizens need to see and hear your presence, we are left to assume that, in your silence, this allegations may be true. Set the record straight. Communicate with your people. Same for Mr. Hodge, Mrs. Finch and others, let truth prevail, otherwise the continuous character attacks will only drive a deeper wedge in the community…a divided house will fall, but a united one will prevail and we beg for unity and look to you for guidance.

Where are responses from our police department, solicitor’s office, etc.? If accused of these allegations, I would surely respond. According to The Cheraw Chronicle, Solicitor Rogers has one coming to the media outlets. I will be eagerly awaiting it, as well as seeing exactly who remains in what positions after the smoke has cleared. I am truly concerned that it will be business as usual. Thank you, Mr. Leviner, for posting your name and specifics. I know there are many more stories such as yours. I would love to see some cold cases reopened during this investigation, and other investigations take place for other cases.

I won’t post specifics I’ve heard about verbal scoldings people in the area have gotten from the big wheels about posting, questioning, etc. on the internet. Even at this point, they are bullying people to keep quiet. Believe you, they are concerned. Perhaps it has to do with U.S. citizens now openly protesting our governments actions nationally and expressing how tired we are of the politics as usual in D.C. People are tired of war, not getting decent health benefits, and corrupt people everywhere, the same ones who lock up people and take away their freedom for the same things they are doing.

A lot of the Christian community is upset, i.e. one pastor’s sermon about not taking pleasure in other people’s fall from grace. I know that I do not take any pleasure in anyone’s suffering. However, these injustices are the same ones Jesus and his followers rebelled against and died for. What worse sin than causing people to suffer by one’s own corruption and in the name of money and getting ahead, then plopping yourself down in church every Sunday?

It’s not taking pleasure in anything at all. It’s called JUSTICE.

Hey, how are you? I just got back from my morning biskit and coffee at the local Bojangles. I may be wrong but I could just about bet my dog,Big Buck, that I saw Elvis trying to buy a jelly donut. The person behing the counter ask him if he was stupid and told him to go find a Krispy Kreme. He still has black hair but he is as slick on top as my cousin Geraldine’s baby’s behind. Someone ask me if I wuz going to go to work for the solicitor’s office and do swine therapy. I told them that I wuz gonna do swine therapy on “Left Over” when we have a pig pickin. Then they told me that the solicitors office or someone over was doing eckwine therapy. They said that people would come to my house and talk with my hogs about their problems. I told them right fast that I wuz not going to have someone drinking whatever kind of wine that eckwine is talking to my hogs and confusing them. Can ya’ll believe that someone would want to do that. Then someone else said they saw someone walking a jackass and talking to it and then when they left, that jackass went crazy with bucking and kicking its heels up. Now can’t you just see Mil—-I mean Left Over a kickin and buckin cause someone drinking eckwine talked to her. What is this world a comin too. If anyone spots Elvis, hows about letting Big Bubba know. Later my friends. PEACE.

THIS MAYBE A GREAT TIME FOR CHESTERFIELD COUNTY IF WE COULD GET ALL OF THIS MESS CLEANED UP!!! It would be wonderful to have HONEST people to represent ALL of the people in this county—–not just a few in the CLICK. EVERYONE should remember this at election time and lets start over!

Facts are facts. Mr. Hodge can write his articles and cast the blame on others, dance the politicians word dance and basically make a fool of himself in print, all for the entertainment and destruction of others.
A few very good points have been made:
1. The FBI will not talk to him, even though it sounds like he is begging to talk to them (just give them the article you wrote in The Cheraw Chronicle, that should suffice).
They are however, collecting information from Mr. Michael and Mrs. Bullard and it would appear Mr. Hodge is attacking them and their families, in an attempt to stifle the flow of information to the FEDS. Just read the local newspapers.

2. Clearly, there is a tie between the disgraced ex-solicitor, Vick and The May of the Prettiest Town in Dixie (hopefully a rope and gallows)
3. What about an investigation into the PTI scam?
This point may have been made, not sure, did the horse lady who does the equine therapy go to Mr. Hodges classes for Batterers Intervention? We know she was arrested, it was in both of the illustrious newspapers, and we are so fortunate to have in our pretty town.

More skeletons tumbling from the closet. Is this true about Hodge and animals? I’ve heard the story about the Cabin Creek incident and the vicious attack on him. I was told it was because he stood up to the Ingram mayor of the time (1965 or so)? and had a front-page spread about their corruption and others in local government and that’s why they beat him down. Could it have been something else? I hear good things about these involved then hear otherwise. We should know our leaders better. We should be given more info about them when they run. Yeah, everyone makes mistakes but some automatically eliminate one from running an office where so many people are affected.

Also heard folks in drug court who posted on this site and others got a severe talking to.

Wonder what went so wrong between Bullard and Hodge? Thought at one point they were really close as fellow workers.

If this is true, BIG BUBBA AND OTHERS, I agree with you totally about reprimands, the same as the “little people” would have to receive. Some of these folks need to attend the classes and courts they’re offering if these allegations are indeed correct. And what about our Sheriff’s Dept. having 2 helicopters and a SWAT tank plus a doubling of officers? Is this info. correct? I’d like to hear some news with specifics, times, dates, etc. It makes my skin crawl to imagine these people in their offices doing these things.

Hope everyone read Bullard’s comments on The Logic Connection. At least she is speaking up. I would like to know what other local politicos are thinking and see some actual hard copies of info. posted here, by FITSNEWS and others. Does Sic Willy even have access to legitimate documents or resources, with the CDV charge and alleged porno site? What did Mayor Hunter say in his radio interview? Why did people think it was Vick being interviewed? I’m as confused as I can be, thank goodness Bullard is speaking up. Hodge is simply trying his best to refute everything she has asserted. On The Logic Connection she states names and agencies. I really would like to know how Hodge stayed on as asst. solicitor. Maybe it’s time to call The State or News channels. A lot of people, myself included, are very concerned that this will be swept under the rug and it will be business as usual. THIS CORRUPTION HAS CONTINUED FOR DECADES. WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE STILL ON THEIR JOBS, IN THEIR POSITIONS, CARRYING ON AS USUAL, AND APPARENTLY NOT TOO CONCERNED ABOUT THIS INVESTIGATION? Presidents, Senators, etc. get charged if they do wrong, but in Cheraw & Chesterfield, it’s always back to the same old same old. Are they in league with the devil or do they have divine protection? It is just sickening. Is it true Chesterfield Sheriff’s Dept. has a SWAT tank and are forming or have formed a SWAT team? Maybe they should just fence in the whole area of Chesterfield and Cheraw and call it the State Psychiatric Hospital or State Prison because thats what it seems to be and how it seems to be run. There are so many good people in this county but everything is so overshadowed by the blatant political corruption here. I believe that’s why nothing here really improves. A billion fast food restaurants and convenience stores, empty buildings upon empty buildings, but no movie theatre, no bowling alley, no YMCA in Cheraw or wellness center, no recycling, an animal shelter run like a Nazi concentration camp, only golf at the state park, etc. WILL IT EVER CHANGE? I’m not surprised that Mercy Ministries were given given grants that they most likely will not qualify for again, thanks to how Hodge ran everything there. An entire board, but only one person out in the field actually doing something, as far as I could see. I could only find one phone number listed with Mercy Mins. and that was Bullard’s. Then, if you’re running things askew, it doesn’t pay to have big people in high places coming in with what could be an enormous amount of help and improvement, does it? I know for a fact this is exactly what happened with the local animal shelter. People came in with vanloads of food that were initially turned away. The HSUS was willing to donate earmarked funds and improve the building but no one in charge wanted that. Just security cameras up to make sure no one could walk in and take pictures again. What rotten,stinking business this is! God help this poor, pitiful excuse for a political system in this area. At least we’ll have a Sheriff’s Department with an arsenal and force to make a small country envious and a few here can live like royalty while everyone else just accepts it and does their bidding. Forget the suffering of children, people who need help, the animals in their undeserved prison dying en masse, they’ll just have to wait on the Good Lord, I suppose.

Betsy, MM’s is primarily a shelter to protect women and children of domestic violence. They also aid the community in other areas if awarded gov. grants to do so. The general nature of what they do requires some secrecy. I would think the last thing they would do is put a sign up signaling there location. Mr. Hodge and his board hold the keys and checkbook. Barbara was their director and licensed counselor until she resigned due to conflicts with Mr. Hodge.

John, Barbara has 20 years experience working with victims of domestic violence, as well as surviving it herself. She is a counselor licensed through the Dept of Social Services of this state. As far as the building across from Chatam Hill, that was her vision. She saw it as potential to expand services of transitional housing to women and children in need. I can also assure you that she would never agree for signage to be placed in front of what was supposed to mature into a protected shelter. That sign and attention is the vision of Mr. Hodge. His vision, ironically enough, is to draw businesses such as a bakery and a floral shop. Not sure what you think but that seems to be a conflict of interest from the charter of the organization. Oh well, guess he just saw the potential for dollar signs instead of the mission of the ministry. I wonder if the goodness of the Little family ,who had the foresight and graciousness to establish MM, can survive the darkness of his leadership.

john, inside the existing main bldg which had a kitchen to service the facility minus the industrial stove thats at his house. The floral idea comes from him buying out the floral dept when Winn-Dixie closed in Bennettsville. He just wants to sell it back to the ministry at a windfall profit like he and Vick pulled on the shelter house. Just keep asking and I’ll tell all the FBI will allow.

john, I think we’re past that point. Next step is the FBI. To much corruption with the elected officials around here to get anything done. Evidence in newspaper and radio comments by these people. They just make these comments and walk around with their head held high. It’s our fault for not challenging them more, they’re used to getting by with their behavior. Maybe, when this is all over, the people of this city and county will make better choices next election and hold them more accountable.

People need to get their stories straight before they tell them.
First, Safrona Finch is not nor has she been in any treatment. I just spoke with her in person in Cheraw and she is fine. I did not right out ask but it appears she is still working but maybe on leave.
Second,this Barbara Bullard person is she one and the same that has had problems at several non-rpofits around the area?

Judging from appearances, I’ll tell you what’s next. More resignations and employee-shifting. More of the same old song. While this is a beautiful area full of many good people, a select few have made it unfit to live in.

Perhaps when they have run off everyone who has worked hard to make this area prosper and to rid it of its ills, they can have it to themselves.

However, the wheel of karma may turn slowly, but turn it does. I can at least find peace in the fact that they will answer to someone someday.

MM in need of funds? They can refer themselves to my last post under “Spratt Asked To Intervene”. If they find those suggestions too unsavory, hold a fundraising contest to see who can wrangle themselves out of being held accountable for anything first. Or who can destroy relative documents the quickest. Or destroy lives and reputations the quickest. Or who is willing to play the dirtiest. The competition would be unbelievable.

Who will they tax, who will they intimidate, what games will they have to amuse themselves, when most have picked up and moved and practically no new business will come here, nor will their wealthy acquaintances even consider moving to such a corrupt, drug-infested, child-abuse infected area?

These folks don’t understand. They never will, due to their overwhelming egos and sense of entitlement. Money is the name of the game here and they have plenty. They are brainwashed victims who believe they can do no wrong, or at least nothing that God will not forgive. They truly believe they are a special “breed” of people, with a front row seat in Heaven engraved with their names.

Your aquaintance who states that they are familiar with Barbara Bullard’s medical history must be I assume a medical person how else could they know this information. I do hope they know that it is a federal offense to discuss a patients information with others due to the Privacy Act.
I do not know Jay Hodge of Safaronia Finch’s medical history and never care to know anything about it . But I do know since my association with them, I attempted suicide three times. I know you are thinking I must have some mental problem but I do not, I use to be a professional person. I quess if I would have been a drug dealer or scum off the street they would have tried to help me. But neither ever had time to talk with me, all they ever did was avoid me or if Safronia did speak to me she informed
me continously that I was the scum of the earth. What a helpful program they had, why did they just not take a gun and try to shoot me , I quess they would not have gotten their three thousand dollars out of me and all that furniture refinished for free. All I can say, is one day they will have to answer to God.
