I think the thing that outrages me is that people like Rush Limbaugh are calling her a racist. This is the guy who called Obama a “half-rican” and “The Magic Negro” and now he’s calling a woman who said basically her background would influence her decisions…really? You think? BTW, this country is far from a socialist one. If that were the case we’d have a single-payer system now.

Argh! @%*$ typo. We were focusing on spelling “Sotomayor” over and over.

Ours is not a knee-jerk position.

The concern comes from her article written with Nicole Gordon, “Returning Majesty to the Law and Politics: A Modern Approach” (1996) where she celebrates courts and lawyers “constantly overhauling the law and adapting it to the realities of ever-changing social, industrial and political conditions…” While it is little consolation admittedly, we’d rather elected Congresses and legislatures do that.

This guy is a bag of wind and keeps getting more ridiculous by the day. I bet he was opposed to the stimulus, until he found out he may get his money for abstinence programs from the regular budget…cause that program is working….
