Miles Out At Lt. Governor’s Office
Former Secretary of State Jim Miles is out of a job as Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer’s Chief-of-Staff, confirming reports that broke over a week ago in the Palmetto political blogosphere.
Originally speculated on by Palmetto Scoop almost two weeks ago, Miles last day on the job will be this Friday.
His departure comes amid heavy criticism over his role in the “Senior Shield” scandal, which you can read all about here and here.
Former Parks, Recreation and Tourism government affairs director Helen Ann Thrower will replace Miles, sources tell FITS.
Stay tuned …

Why does a a part time Lt. Gov. whose main job is to preside over the Senate need a full time “Chief of Staff” in the first place?

What is this…5 Chief of Staffs in 6.5 years?
And 3 Directors of Aging in 4.5 years?
People…wake up, this is chaos, not good government.
