Dueling Wishes For Kneejerk’s Birthday!

mcmaster-bday

It’s dueling birthday wishes for S.C. Attorney General (and would-be Panderer-in-Chief) Henry McMaster, who turns another year older (but sadly, no wiser) today.

Last week, McMaster’s wife Peg got the “celebration” started when she sent out a “surprise” birthday fund-raising message last week urging people to leave a personal note for her husband.

Of course the “personal note” is really a political fund-raising page, but whatever.

“As a family, we truly are blessed,” McMaster’s wife writes. “Henry is a wonderful husband and a dedicated father to our two children. I’m also very proud of his work as attorney general to make all our families safe and secure.”

Mmmm-hmmmm.

Not to be outdone, an “ad” on the website Craigslist- which decisively thumped McMaster in a PR battle earlier this month – is collecting birthday wishes for the grandstanding Attorney General as well.

“Help wish SC Attorney General Henry McMaster Happy Birthday (Wed May 27) by congratulating him on losing his ABSURD PR stunt
involving Craigslist,” the message urges. “He is ‘trying’ to make a name form himself as he run for Governor. Why doesn’t Henry target SC newspapers that have “adult” ads? Does not the “law” need to be enforced equally Henry?”

That man had the worst luck dealing with Craigslist but it is very easy to understand why he failed so miserably. He probably never had heard of Craigslist before this incident and as such he was seriously misinformed due to the generational and technological gap that exists between young people today and his generation. I find the point made about not wanting to alienate local newspapers very interesting because it shows that he is just trying to play political games just like nearly every other current politician.

I’d like to send him a note and ask him why he doesn’t enforce my rights and the law?
Why doesn’t the Attorney General want to help the people of the state who LOST their Social Security money when it was invested at Fidelity Investments????
Why doesn’t he care about identity theft?
    Mr. McMaster Happy Birthday.

ohmalawd, I would rather you ask the Good Lord to help us now–with our present governor–than wait until the next one takes office. There is still more than a year and a half of idiocy to be endured with him.
