After receiving nearly 100 nominees via website, email and text message for our S.C. Hottest Lawyer competition, we took Memorial Day weekend to finish the ardurous task of winnowing this expansive field down to five names.
It wasn’t easy, people. Some people fought the nominating process, others lobbied to be included. Some threatened to publish naked pictures of our founding editor if they were mentioned (uh, yeah), while one casually inquired if there was “anything special” she could do to receive consideration.
And yes, she was kidding (damnit).
Anyway, now it’s all up to you. Five gorgeous women now await your review, comment and (most imporantly) your vote in our poll.

Ashley Batson – Finkell Law Firm (Columbia, SC)
Every list of this sort needs a token blond bombshell, but Ashley Batson is anything but a placeholder in our final five. With fellow hottie lawyers Lindsey Drake and Rebecca Goings at her side, Batson is to swoon for – especially when she kicks the Palin glasses. Seriously, we sent our founding editor to her Facebook page three days ago to review her pictures … and haven’t heard from him since. Hell, he may never come up for air.

Forget Lohan, we have a new freckle fetish. In fact, our founding editor is already trying to figure out how to work “I want Lindsay Drake to handle my business litigation” into a sentence. And hey … there it is. Of course he may just be trying to figure out how to work Lindsay Drake. A fan favorite, expect Lindsey to be a staple of our fantasy life … err, this competition … for many years to come.

Stephanie Nye – S.C. Supreme Court (Columbia, SC)
Given his relentless assault on the state’s high court, it goes without saying that our founding editor is not on the lovely Ms. Nye’s Christmas card list. Which is too bad, too, because we hear she gives great “Christmas Card.” Oh … whoa …

Margie Pizarro – Pizarro Law Firm (Summerville, SC)
If we had to put our money down on a favorite in this race, Margie would be it. This former public school teacher briefly worked at the powerhouse Charleston firm of Savage & Savage, which Another babe who rocks the spectacles like nobody’s business, feel free to insert your “hot for teacher” comment here … we know we did.

Katie Walter – Nelson Mullins (Greenville, SC)
Sic Willie’s personal favorite on our list, Walter has got our founding editor’s vote … hands-down. Seriously, just look at those eyes … tractor beam … in fact, Sic was halfway through composing this entry here when he realized that what he was actually writing was an incredibly inappropriate e-mail … to Katie! Did he click ‘send’ anyway? Of course!

Of course this is all in my head..BUT..Batson looks like the girl next door with perfect skin in a sun dress.Walter is hott too but in more of a pressed suit ,goin to kick your ass, law and order kind of way.Depends on what you like.I like the soft and smooth.Had enough of the tough ones in real life.

My vote should count double since: 1) I’ve been practicing law for over 20 years; and 2) Margie Pizarro used to work at my firm, so I have witnessed her hotness in person.
What your readers will be unable to see is that Margie’s like six-foot tall, too. You just can’t pack all that hotness in a small package.

Got in on the contest a little late. While all the above ladies are beautiful and smart, I still think you left off several major contenders. Where are Elizabeth Gumb, Priscilla Jones, Elizabeth Smith and Natalie Armstrong? Those four would add some diversity to your mainly “blonde” list.
