Begin Mountain Ox Strangulation … Now

In case you’re wondering about that headline, relax … our founding editor isn’t into abusing animals.

Not domestically, anyway.

The headline is in reference to a quote the world’s hottest woman gave about Olivia Wilde, who – as they say – ain’t half bad herself.

And perhaps because the lovely Miss Fox has fingered … sorry, singled her out for praise, Wilde is in this month’s edition of GQ magazine, waxing enlightened about all her liberal causes and how trendy she is.

Wilde … spent much of her time in Louisiana canvassing for the Obama campaign. She’s a public advocate for increasing international aid and for gay rights, and she’s raised money for Doctors Without Borders. More notably, perhaps: She’s such an ardent believer in humane treatment of animals that when Megan Fox threatened the welfare of an innocent mountain ox in our pages last year—“Olivia Wilde is so sexy she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox,” Fox said—Wilde offered to intercede. “I came into my trailer at House the morning after that article came out,” she says, “and one of our writers had done an illustration on my mirror of a mountain ox saying, ‘Save me, save me. Please, Olivia, make out with Megan!’ ” Though Wilde is a little skeptical of the recent girl-crush fad, she’s always willing to pitch in for a cause: “Of course, anything I can do to save the mountain ox, I’m happy to do.”

Oh, she also went with the gymnyst theme for her photo shoot, which earned her a silver medal in our pants.

Clearly, Megan took the gold.
