One of the downsides to being all over Google News is that we have ended up all over the radar of some pretty famous people … or at least their PR agents/ attorneys.
Seriously, FOX, Def Jam – we was just play’n. And don’t hate us cause we’re well-represented …
Anyway, it’s doubtful any of our prior celebrity exploits would compare to pissing off the Material Girl herself … if that’s in fact what we’ve done.
Is Madonna reading FITS? That is the question … and if so, how in the hell did that happen?
We did write recently about her attempted adoption in Malawi, of course, and last month we referenced her Evita performance in an article making fun of S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford.
But obviously neither of those stories were enough to get on her people’s radar – nor were they likely to get us on her people’s people’s radar.
Or were they?
Obviously not, but follow the fantasy here (because that’s what this is).
Our recent politically-incorrect post on the whole Farrah Fawcett saga generated several comments, but as usual it generated many more emails on our contact page.
That’s just how it is - we tend to get more responses from people who don’t want their thoughts posted publicly.
One of these comments, though, struck us as curious.
It came from England – which is a place we’ve also made fun of – and where FITS has also earned its share of ink.
And while it referred to us as “a waste of web space that will hopefully wither away,” there was something about the way it was signed that also struck us as curious.
“Madonna C.”
Hmmm … Madonna Ciccone, perhaps?
