Kennedy's "Profiles in Courage" in my private junior high school's history class. Although I clearly remember the teacher as a Democrat, I didn't realize until now that my parents were forced to make a donation to the Kennedy re-election campaign by paying for the book. After Pres. Kennedy was assassinated, the funds may have gone to Ted Kennedy's campaign. Who knows. Maybe my family paid for the gas in that Oldsmobile that Ted drove off the bridge at Chappaquiddick that caused the death of Mary Jo Kopechne. Back in the early 1960s, I had to read John F.
