Obama Assimilation Update: The Reader
Barack Obama has received a $500,000 advance from Crown Publishers for an abridged version of the book Dreams From My Father, and will make between 10-15% in royalites from the sale of the book.
The volume will target “middle grade to young adult” readers, according to USA Today’s presidential blog, The Oval.
Based on the ubiquitousness of the Obamaganda we’ve seen, this hardly comes as a surprise. Nor will it surprise us when this book becomes required reading in all government schools, including the ones already named after Obama.
Sheesh.
The information about Obama’s (latest) book deal became known when the First Family’s taxes were released. Filing jointly, Barack and Michelle Obama paid $855,323 in taxes on a combined income of $2,656,902.

Back in the early 1960s, I had to read John F. Kennedy’s “Profiles in Courage” in my private junior high school’s history class. Although I clearly remember the teacher as a Democrat, I didn’t realize until now that my parents were forced to make a donation to the Kennedy re-election campaign by paying for the book. After Pres. Kennedy was assassinated, the funds may have gone to Ted Kennedy’s campaign. Who knows. Maybe my family paid for the gas in that Oldsmobile that Ted drove off the bridge at Chappaquiddick that caused the death of Mary Jo Kopechne.
