Prejean Starts Blogger Fight

Ordinarily, we could give a rat’s rear end about the back-and-forth between an Internet has-been (SC Hotline) and never was (Wolfe Reports).

Combined, these S.C. political websites receive in a month the amount of traffic we get before 9:00 a.m. each day, which we attribute to the fact that we’re talented and they’re not.

Oh, and humble – don’t forget our humility.

Anyway, watching South Carolina’s political web geeks “do battle” always provides us with some sick sense of fulfillment – especially when they’re arguing over the lovely Miss California USA Carrie Prejean.

In fact, here’s a “Twitter” exchange yesterday between SC Hotline “Slow Zebra” Jeffrey Sewell and Wes “Wounded Wildebeest” Wolfe of Wolfe Reports

JEFFREY SEWELL: Is it just me or is Carrie Prejean’s greatest asset her very strong presence, character and stand on principal. She is as a South Carolinian friend once said about Angie Goff, “She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside”. What a great debate that was very much needed. These militant homos are both scorned by folks that are Gay as they are by the right. They are an embarrassment.

WES WOLFE: No, she is an ignorant bigot, and it is a shame.

JEFFREY SEWELL: Wow are you gay, sorry did not know if so and not that there is anything wrong with that of course…? If so you should be by definition happy right? Appreciate your honesty, and have a nice day!

Militant homos? Ignorant bigots?

Hold up … are these guys flirting with each other?

Seriously, cue the Marvin Gaye and read it again.

On the one hand, we have Perez Hilton. He is a vulgar man whose stock in trade is shadenfruede and drawing pictures of penises flying at the faces of movie stars. He asked a legitimate question of a beauty pageant contestant, and when he didn’t like her answer, he boorishly called her nasty names. Later, he toned it down a bit and made both Carrie Prejean and Maggie Gallagher look like fools. But he’s still, y’know, Perez.

Then we have Carrie Prejean. When asked about gay marriage, she gave a barely coherent, blithering answer that she was against it, with the sole basis of her opinion being “how she was raised”. This sweet, sensitive soul of innocence and Christian decency was subsequently revealed to be:
    1) A product of divorced parents who accused each other of being gay during their divorce.
    2) Someone who takes her contractual obligations rather lightly, since she lied about posing nude and failed to appear as required under the contract. (I guess benefiting The Special Olympics is less important than pandering to bigots for cash.)
    3) A liar – she claimed the boobie shots were taken “without her knowledge on a windy day”, though it’s clear she was posing and her then-tiny ta-tas were flying in the breeze like a couple of airport wind socks.
    4) A blithering idiot, equating criticism of her ramblings with governmental infringement on her free speech rights.
    5) A hypocrite, upholding “Biblical principles” on marriage while simultaneously lying, breaching her contract, flashing her boobs, and NOT loving her neighbor.
    6) Creepy and weird, claiming that God and Satan were in her tiny pea-brain doing battle while she was flashing her pageant-purchased boobs to an audience of thousands.

What we know is this: in the 23rd century, when Perez and Carrie are both long gone and any controversy over gay marriage is in the dustbin of history, Carrie’s implants will be intact in a landfill somewhere.

    The mammaries linger on.

Isn’t her position on so called “gay marriage” identical to that of Obama?

(of course, she didn’t have a teleprompter available to enhance her, er… delivery)

You sound very, very bitter thomas.

How is Carrie responsible for the divorce of her parents?

So I guess free speech is only for people who agree with you, thomas?

How is she not loving her neighbor, thomas?

What’s so creepy about God, thomas?

She is so damn hot that I just wish everyone would leave her alone. And yes, that makes sense to me.

Isnt she entitled to her OWN opinion?? Wasnt it Mr. Hilton who asked for her “own opinion”??? So if you dont like someones opinion they become labeled as intolerant – hmmm sounds like the Mr. Hilton/Hitler is practicing hate speach…. might have to use that new Bill before congress now to censure the Mr. Hilton/Hitler for practicing hate speech. :-) He is trying to censure a member of a religion for practicing her religious speech rights….hmmmm

Tell me about it. We’ve created a firestorm just for using the word queer. And all we did was share that they were having a rally in Spartanburg.

    Conservativist,

I just about fell out of my chair on that very witty headline. I believe it or not have friends that happen to be uhh… different and they think this Hilton guy is an idiot militant homo e.g., embarrassment… And they also think your header on that was funny. They don’t care about gay marriage, civil unions maybe they say anywho this is more to do about The Donald than anything else is my guess anyway.

Oh and Will AKA FITS thanks for the kind words and HAVE A NICE DAY!

Just for future reference, if you’re going to comment about something and you want your point to be seriously considered, then never follow a comment such as was submitted by Thomas. Thomas I may or may not agree but you hit one out of the park. The rest of you should comment on how Thomas’s ass taste.

    Thank you, Old Bike Dude.

Louis, since you make it so easy, I’ll try to be nice.

“Isn’t her position on so called “gay marriage” identical to that of Obama?”
It’s not quite the same, since he addressed supporting civil unions with equal rights and she refused to. But it’s similar enough. So what? Obama isn’t flopping fake funbags around looking for a tiara. She is purportedly representing the State of California as a beauty contestant. Bigotry is ugly, and so are lies.

“(of course, she didn’t have a teleprompter available to enhance her, er… delivery)”
She didn’t have a Speak N’Spell, either. Again, your point? Poise is a quality one expects in these competitions. She doesn’t have it.

    *Digression of an old joke*
The Queen of England is reviewing the British Army. As she arrives at parade rest, a Colonel’s horse farts an amazing, toxic, noisy fart.

    The Queen says: “Excuse me.”

The Colonel says: “Of course. Had Your Majesty said nothing, I would have thought it was the horse.”

    /*End digression*

“You sound very, very bitter thomas.”
Bitter people don’t laugh at the world nearly as much as I do.

“How is Carrie responsible for the divorce of her parents?”
She’s not. But the fact that her “Christian” parents got divorced in direct contravention of Biblical teachings on marriage, and derisively called each other gay to get an advantage in the legal proceedings that went with it, says a LOT about how Miss Prejean was raised and her views on marriage. And gay people.

“So I guess free speech is only for people who agree with you, thomas?”
No. It’s for everyone. Has the government told her she can’t speak? Has anyone else? Or can she just not take the heat for speaking like a whore for the religious right? (Note: whore = person paid to sacrifice their integrity or decency or logic.) Criticism of free speech is an INTEGRAL part of free speech. And so far, only her employer and public figures have made that criticism. No government agency has done so, or tried to shut her up.

Louis, freedom of speech rights are not absolute, nor do they limit the rights of private organizations or citizens to criticize speech. Check a ConLaw textbook, k?

“How is she not loving her neighbor, thomas?”
Oh, I dunno. Not wanting other couples to have equal protection under the law sounds a bit like hate to me. Her gay neighbor might want to visit his partner in the hospital, or protect her partner under her insurance or pension, or not have to worry about what will happen to their kids together, or collect SSI benefits when one dies or becomes disabled. You don’t think it’s hate to deny that.

    I do.

“What’s so creepy about God, thomas?”
Nothing. But when you talk about God and Satan having a chat in your head while you’re spouting bigotry and your plastic paid-for titties are bouncing off your chest like a pair of Hippity-Hops, than it’s kinda creepy. And weird.
