Despite his protestations to the contrary, our founding editor is whipped to the point of indentured servitude, people.

While he may be the “head” of his household, the head doesn’t go anywhere without the neck’s permission.

And yes, the “neck” of the household is none other than the lovely Mrs. Sic Willie.

For example, when Sic was informed last week that it was time to stop inhaling his food – and start chewing it for a change – it was only a matter of time before he reluctantly acquiesced.

“Stop eating like somebody’s going to steal it from you,” he was told.

Of course, Mrs. Sic – who happens to be a highly sought-after nutritionist – informed our favorite bad boy of a fringe benefit associated with eating slower.

It turns out you lose weight.

Alright, alright, you don’t actually “lose weight” so much as you “get fuller faster” … which means less eating.

And get this, you get even fuller(er?) faster(er?) when you take drinks of water between bites, as well.

Ever the guinea pig, Sic has been trying this new “eat slow” method over the last four days and – amazingly – he’s already lost five pounds!

Needless to say, we’re submitting this tip to the Healthy South Carolina website, where First Lady Jenny Sanford has assembled a plethora of different nutrition tips.

And yes, El Guapo, we know what a “plethora” is …

Obviously “eating slow” is no substitite for healthy diet choices and regular exercise, but for people looking to gain any advantage in their fight to shed points, don’t knock it till you’ve tried it …

Muy Beuno, Jefe! I would not like to think that a person would tell someone he has a plethora, and then find out that that person has NO IDEA idea what it means to have a plethora.

Thanks for the shout out…it’s the best gift since my sweater.

Congrats Will!
Here’s another tip:
Sometimes, when your body seems like its hungry, your body is actually craving food. So before you break into that pantry full of wonderful food, try drinking some water first.
