If there’s something about white silk blouses, pencil skirts and mildly adventurous heels that appeals to you, then you’re going to love this contest.

In fact, it’s nuts that we didn’t think of it before.

We figured since 99% of South Carolina’s legal community reads this website anyway, we might as well hold a competition that highlights this demographic strength to our advertisers – while simultaneously gratifying our founding editor’s need f

And so your mission – should you choose to accept it – is to help us find South Carolina’s hottest lawyer.

That’s right. With hundreds of firms and thousands of attorneys, the choices are virtually limitless, and we expect the competition to be fierce.

As for early favorites, will it be Sic’s secret flame over at the SC Supreme Court, the lovely Stephanie Nye?

Or what about Nelson Mullins’ blonde bombshell Elizabeth Campbell? (yowzers here)

We’ll be taking your suggestions and narrowing the field to five names – but after that it’s up to you to pick the winner!

That is the first time that I have ever agreed with Mande…not that she should get licensed, but that there are slim pickins in the Bar. Pitiful what passes for “hot” among lawyers. I went to law school with some of them and the last thing they need is to have their egos pumped up.

Kelli Smith, a staff attorney at the supreme court, is the hottest female member of the South Carolina Bar. Period. No pics, but investigate the matter like a good journalist would, and you will agree with me. Unfortunately, it would end the competition early, but so it goes.

It is our pleasure to nominate Dean Walter F. “Jack” Pratt Jr. for the Carolina’s Hottest Lawyer Competition. While neither a licensed South Carolina lawyer nor particularly the hottest lawyer we know, we’re pretty sure that the USC School of Law hired this hunk of a man for one reason: his sex appeal. We’re fairly certain the F. stands for Fundraising, and this loveable bearded man knows how to put the F-U-N in fundraising.

We reckon this competition was aimed more at the female constituents of the Bar, but duty compels us to put forward a most deserving male contestant. Dean Walter Pratt: if you don’t know Hot, you don’t know “Jack.”
