Captain’s log: Stardate, May 6, 2009.
Somebody’s been putting some serious miles on South Carolina’s taxpayer-owned Beechcraft King Air today, sources tells FITS.
In fact, N1SC (a.k.a. “Palmetto One”) has been aloft all day … Columbia to Rock Hill, Rock Hill to Lancaster, Lancaster to Camden, Camden to Florence, Florence to Sumter, and now Sumter back to Columbia …
Gov. Mark Sanford is reportedly not aboard, but somebody is burning up some expensive fuel …
Here’s the log:

The State plane has become a taxi service again. if I remember correctly, there was a big scandal concerning the plane back in the 80′s (or was it the 70′s?).
State Senators have taken to using it on a regular basis. Andre pimps Senior Shield (not state business), and I heard it went to Atlanta recently on some VERY shakey pretense.
Catch’em Will…catch’em.
