Twitter Can’t Handle Us

Like an unruly child who refuses to eat his vegetables, our founding editor continues to evade his contractual obligation to visit Twitter at least once a day.

“Ashton Kutcher rules this place,” Sic says. “Tell me why I give a f*ck about Twitter again?”

But rules are rules, and if anybody is under the illusion that the Palmetto State’s baddest bad boy makes his own (either at home or at work), they’ve obviously never met Mrs. Sic and Nancy, the ladies that run his life.

One of Sic’s rules is that he must visit Twitter (and post at least one “Tweet”) each day.

And trust us, you have never heard whining until you’ve been on the dispensing end of Sic’s daily “Twitter reminder phone call.”

And while to his credit Sic has finally figured out how to “Tweet,” his Twitter joy remains incomplete.

Frankly, the lack of worthy sparring partners in the S.C. political “Twittersphere” has left him longing for the other twenty-three hours and fifty minutes of the day that he’s not forced to sit in front of that gay ass Tarheel blue screen.

Apparently Sic is not alone – Twitter loses a much larger percentage of its new users than most of these Web 2.0 thingimajigs, which doesn’t bode well for its long-term viability.

And new users is not all it loses.

Sic was in the middle of trying to instigate a random Twitter fight the other day with one of the lobotomized members of the S.C. political consulting class when he was told that there were “too many tweets” in the system.

Too many tweets?

Sheesh.

Anyway, a bunch of SC politicos still swear by Twitter, so we’ll keep forcing Sic to “contibute.”

In the meantime, anybody who wants a piece of Sic in the Twittersphere, tell us when and where and we’ll try and get him on!
