The contest between Hearn and Few was close until Jefferson, a black female, dropped out. Then the Black Caucus shifted to Hearn and it was all over for Few. He would've been waxed in a vote, as he knew.

"You won’t believe what we’re hearing . . ."

I'm sure it's just the voices in your head telling you to make up more shit and post it on here as a "scoop", and then of course attribute the "scoop" to an anonymous source/sources. Here's a scoop for you Will: the voices in your head don't count as anonymous sources.

All I know about him is he spent a lot of time in bars.

With old media, he could get elected. new media...he drops out.

JC/Don-

Thanks for providing two opposite ends of the "parlor game" spectrum.

The latest rumor we heard is that KH decided since we cost her the seat last year that she would pay us off this year and get it done.

Whatever. The bottom line is no matter who won this race a "Republican" majority has elected precisely 1 conservative judge to the supreme court in fifteen years.

1.

That's pathetic.

Of course, people should by all means continue to question our integrity, speculate on our motivation and attack our sources as they see fit.

It doesn't matter to us.

This man has children who have to read this crap. You should apologize for spreading these false rumors. You also probably cost him a seat on the Supreme Court. I bet you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Your story had nothing to do with this. Few withdrew because he can count. Hearn was 1st, he was second, and Jefferson was third. When Jefferson withdrew, her votes went to Hearn...if she didn't already win in the 3 way race straight up. She was over 80 votes. Anyone that knows Few knows he's a sharp guy, fair judge, and does like to have a good time. Anyone that knows Hearn, knows she would never stoop to or condone the type of campaign your "sources of anonymity" are leveling. This was a case of the most qualified gets the nod.

I would suggest that you start getting better sources than bumbling members of the "Sanford" freshman caucus who still aren't sure where the Blatt and Gressette buildings are.

What one could hope is that Few gets elected chief judge of the Appeals Court, so you can get your Williams campaign rolling again and we can continue to laugh at your anonymous sources being wrong.
