Few Accuser Acknowledges Hearn Link
A woman who accused S.C. Circuit Court Judge John Few of pressuring her to have sex with him isn’t changing her story – but she now admits that she was asked to reveal details of her encounter to FITS at the behest of two supporters of S.C. Chief Appeals Court Judge Kaye Hearn.
In a slight departure from her comments yesterday, the woman now says that two individuals – one a former law clerk of Hearn and the other a Senate staffer – asked her to disclose the information two weeks ago, and to do so confidentially given the woman’s position as a lobbyist at the S.C. State House.
Apparently, several mainstream media outlets spoke with the woman and declined to run with her accusations, details of which were first published by FITS yesterday.
In a tearful interview, the woman – whose name will remain anonymous – stood by her original story of “pressured sex,” but refused again to say that Few raped her.
Few has since dropped out of the race, although his supporters say it has nothing to do with the personal allegations, and everything to do with a state legislature that “wants to elect Democrats over Republicans.”
Few supporters have acknowledged that he has seen the woman in question in social settings “more than once,” but they vigorously deny that she was ever pressured to have sex with him.
Few has been divorced for three years.
Meanwhile, Senate Finance Chairman Hugh Leatherman and S.C. Chief Justice Jean Toal are reportedly ecstatic that their hand-picked Judge is now unopposed in her bid for the bench.
What remains to be seen is just how low some of Hearn’s allies may have stooped to get it done.
Stay tuned for more as this soap opera continues to unfold …

For a man with no interest in the Supreme Court race you sure have spent a lot of time bashing Kaye Hearn and her supporters.

Seems like you should at least, especially since her story is in question, name the woman. The alleged perpertrator has been named, his reputation tarnished, but no crime was allegedly committed, so why not – for credibility, if nothing else – source her properly. Seems like her story has changed several times. Just a thought.

Sounds like the right candidate won…and that they weren’t too soft to see that it got done. Sounds like a judge after FITS own heart.

FITS, you can keep this anti-Hearn thing going, but you’re just losing more and more credibility. Too many people personally know Judge Hearn and almost every attorney knows her reputation. It’s not worth it, brother.

Ahh … the daily comment regarding our “credibility.”
Thanks for acknowledging we might actually have some, though.

The accusations seem to center on an event that is being disputed within the context of the “pressure.” FITS has let all sides speak on this and throw bombs equally. Hard to accept he has an anti-Hearn bias after he published what he did on Few. Guess that puts she SCRG payroll theory on ice?

Again, it was never Hearn that did any of this…always anonymous allies…c’mon FITS, you’re grasping at real straws here. BTW, a lot of Few’s support came from D’s. And to the fellow poster who said there were members of the Horry delegation that didn’t support Hearn, you are again halucenating. Guess we won’t be able to challenge that though now unless they just refuse to vote, but you are dead wrong. Who were they? Go ahead, be wrong…

Edge and Viers from Horry County were not supporters of Hearn. Edge was well kmown for not being in the camp. Dont believe, ask him. They wanted a conservative judge. They were threatened and Edge told them where he stood and what they could do in front of many in the House chamber.
