With the exception of their sports page, we hate The (Columbia, S.C.) State newspaper.
It’s why we decided to brand them as “liberal La Socialista” and begin the process of systematically undermining their “journalistic” credibility while eroding their subscription base.
What can we say … the marketplace of ideas is a bitch. Tee-hee!
Somebody apparently hates La Socialista even more than we do, though, because it never occurred to us to drive through town with a massive, 10′ X 22′ IHateTheState.com sign plastered on one of those billboard trucks.
The sign (which lights up at night) is promoting … wait for it … IHateTheState.com, an anonymous website that’s updated once a month with some random critique of one of the paper’s left-leaning editorials.
IHateTheState.com is not to be confused with IDontBelieveTheState.com, which folded back in 2007 after a two-year run.
We’ve been accused of owning and operating both websites in the past, incidentally … to which our founding editor has said “you got nah-ting, nahhh-ting.”
It’s just what he says these days whenever he’s accused of something … whether he did it or not.

Great gophers. What a willie scam. Your “I Hate” site is as old as your “I Don’t Believe” site. There is nothing new here, except you trying to reinvent a scam.
