Our “Asshattery” Offends The Assless Chaps

The gays … err guys over at Waldo Lydecker’s Journal are all lubed … err, riled up … over our post yesterday about U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham.

Apparently, they’ve gleaned some hypocrisy by juxtaposing our Graham rant with a previous post that Mande wrote about familial metaphors.

As usual, we have no clue why Wally is pissed, but we gotta give him props for accusing us of “over-top-asshattery.”

That’s certainly nicer (and more creative) than the comment posted by Democratic blogger Mattheus Mei, who refers to our founding editor as “a fucking neanderthal,” or the latest Tweet from Warren Tompkins’ stooge Wes Wolfe referring to Sic as an “absolute immature dipshit.”

Dudes!

Seriously … why is the gay-dar crowd obsessing over us all of a sudden? Do they covet our pink assless chaps? Because those aren’t going anywhere. In fact, they can pry those from our cold, dead … never mind.

Look, we have nothing but love for gay people and their quest for equality – which is why we make fun of them with the same vim and vigor that we make fun of Presbyterians.

So why do some people seem to think they’re being targeted? Do they sit around all day and cherry pick a handful of articles (out of several thousand that we’ve published) just so they can draw the same conclusion they were going to draw anyway?

A conclusion that’s as illogical as it is unintelligible?

Isn’t that a disease? Or some kind of self-loathing?

Or could it be that some people really are that desperate to be offended?

Whatever the case may be, that’s a sad way for anybody to go through life … gay, straight or any other way.

In the meantime, just as our libertarian philosophy upholds equality – so will our sense of humor.

And anybody who doesn’t like it can kiss our pink assless chaps …
