Go Miss California!

prejean-m

We are now officially in love with Miss California USA, Carrie Prejean, who is in hot water for “anti-gay” comments made during the Miss USA pageant, which she lost in no small part due to those comments.

Asked her position on gay marriage during the live TV broadcast, Prejean said:

I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.

Of course, judging by the reaction from gay activists, Prejean might as well have said that she favored herding homos into the gas chambers.

That was certainly the reaction of celebrity judge Perez Hilton, who gave Prejean a “0″ for her answer.

What the hell?

Just because this chick didn’t lie or start mindlessly regurgitating PC talking points she’s suddenly a pariah?

Now, Prejean is having to “defend” her “anti-gay” remarks, which is pretty amazing considering the last time we checked Americans had the right to respectfully voice their opinions.

Look, we don’t have a problem with gay marriage – in fact we opposed an anti-gay marriage referendum in SC because we felt it nothing more than an excuse for Republicans to get their voters out to the polls.

Which it was.

But how in the hell is what this girl said “anti-gay?”

More importantly, how in the world can any man look at these pictures and not want to start humping their computer monitor?

Sorry, we that’s not very Christian of us, but damn …

Like Bernie Mac said … “The Lord is my Shepherd – He know what I want!”

This reminds me of the controversy stirred up several years ago by John Rocker’s comments on gays and NYC denizens. My thought then was why would anybody care what a baseball player, who among the major sport’s professionals is the least likely to have attended college, had to say about anything? The same applies to beauty pageant contestants, at least in my view. With the exception that I would definitely do her.

So, did Perez Hilton call her a fish? Or do gays no longer use that particular pejorative term?

Welcome to the age of Obama! Crosses are ordered covered at Christian universities and Muslim kings receive subservient, presidential bows . Third world tyrants are fist-pumped and traditional allies are snubbed. Christian vets are labeled “possible terrorists” by their government. Who is surprised that a homosexual activist would persecute a beauty for her Christian beliefs?

The age of Obama… you ain’t seen nothin’ yet, baby!

Why is it when someone voices an opinion different from the PC community they are labeled, screamed at, and downright abused for expressing their First Amendment rights.

Roofus, you’re an idiot. With that off my chest I will proceed. I do not understand why people hate gays. I see dollar signs every time I see them getting married. Marriage = money, honeymoons = money and divorce = money. No muslim, jew or christian is going to stop people from doing they want.

As for the crappy judges, they should have judged her on how she presented herself as well as what she said. I would have at least given her a eight for being smokin’ hot. I guess that is why I am not a judge.

She’s exquisite, but her attitude concerns me because it makes me think she wouldn’t pose for Playboy.

This issue wasn’t that she said how she feels, and expressed her personal beliefs. That is a good thing, and more power to her. The issue was the lack of any diplomacy with which she said it. You cut it out in the above quote, but she starts her sentence with “In my country, my family, I…” This presents it as if she is speaking for everyone, when she isn’t and can not. A true beauty, a true Miss America would be able to both express her personal opinion, and portray the issue in a way that isn’t offensive to so many.

Hunley: The only people who hate are the self-described “gays.” Read Hilton’s hate-filled diatribes against Miss California and tell me where the “love” is!

Let me just set the record straight! This is one of the best Miss America contestants I can remember. I admire not only her beauty but also her willingness to stand up for what is right. Gay is not right!

It’s amazing how much political and media power sexual deviants wield in our 2009 America. Who would have thought just 10 years ago that courts would embrace marriage between two balding men, for crying out loud? What’s next? The legal recognition of bestiality? Does this mean that we will have universal vetinary medicine coverage for all “couples” as well?

If the government wasn’t in the marriage business in the first place none of this would really matter. Give it back to the churches to decide who and who can’t get married.

This entry and the comments illustrate why the Republican party is on its way to long-term minority status in this country. Wonder why in the 2008 election, among 18-25 year olds, the vote breakdown was 60% Democrat, 38% Republican? It’s because you people are the party of torture and hatred. It’s not that people don’t want to be associated with gays – It’s that they don’t want to be associated with YOU.

Keep it up. I propose Will Folks and Jeffrey Sewell for head of everything Republican.

Miss California’s got cahones for answering the question honestly. The end result is that she’s more popular (or at least well known) now than she would have been if she had won

I don’t see what the problem lays on these comments and issues. Last time I looked around we live in the U.S.A. and we as Americans have the right to have our own believes and say what we have to say. Perhaps that is why I am now a retired dissabled American Soldier, so others can live a FREE LIFE. If you don’t like it, MOVE OUT of this Country.

Donald Trump is a fool, and he appears ridiculous for saving a silicone bimbo. Thank the lord for a real person who really matters like President Obama. Who the hell cares about this woman and quit taking up our time with this ridiculous contest. I will never watch anything that Trump has to do with. I have lost all respect for Mr Trump. goodbye
