Obama’s Definition of Cutting Government
If the state of South Carolina was going to cut $100 million out of a $21 billion budget, it might be a big deal.
You know, to people who can’t count so good (i.e. South Carolinians).
Now imagine that the United States government – which is calculating its deficit spending in the “T’s” these days – announced that it was going to “cut” $100 million.
Sounds important, right?
Based on a $3.67 trillion budget, though, that’s not even a tenth of a percent – or even a hundredth of a percent.
In fact, when we typed these figures into our calculator to determine if such a “cut” represented even a thousandth of a percent of the federal budget, it spit at us and told us to stop wasting its time.
What can we say, that’s just how our calculator rolls.
Nonetheless, $100 million is what President Barack Obama has asked his Cabinet agencies to “cut” (how Reagan-esque) and to our great shock the MSM is portraying him to a gullible public as a reformer who is actually seriously about reigning in government excess.

Oh, and we forgot, there’s rhetoric accompanying the “cuts,” too.
“Without significant change to steer away from ever-expanding deficits and debt, we are on an unsustainable course,” Obama said in his weekly radio address over the weekend.
Wait … what? Say what?
Are you flipping kidding us?
Prior to the taxpayer tea parties, Obama was channeling the love child of Mao and Marx in his budget plans – now all of a sudden he’s talking about our “unsustainable course?” And offering $100 million in savings?
What a joke.
$100 million in “cuts” is thin air. Hocus pocus. Smoke and mirrors.
It doesn’t exist – except in glowing MSM reviews, of course.
Obama is trying to change the conversation by throwing out a piddling amount that you can’t even see under a microscope, and the MSM is going along for the ride.
Pathetic.
He might as well have added $100 million … and then kicked a random taxpayer in the balls.

It looks to me like Obama’s idea of cutting anything ABOUT government is just a breakneck speed amputation of God from it.
