Introducing “La Liberbad”

greenville-sc

For all intents and purposes, we have successfully renamed the once-largest newspaper in South Carolina.

Seriously, it is no longer The State, it is La Socialista.

Ask any lawmaker, lobbyist or reporter in the Palmetto State and they’ll tell you.

Now, as for what we’ll call it after it goes bankrupt later this year … that remains to be seen.

In the meantime, though, we figured we might as well have some fun naming South Carolina’s other MSM dinosaurs … you know, while we’ve still got them to kick around.

First on our list? The Greenville News, which from this day forward shall be known as La Liberbad.

Why?

Because we have willed it, people. That’s why.

It’s funny, we kept tooling around with different Clemson University-themed names (since La Liberbad basically resides in Clemson’s hip pocket), but we couldn’t get anything to work.

Needless to say, the paper’s blood runneth orange and purple, though.

Oh, and just wait till you see what we’ve re-christened the Anderson Independent-Mail

It has been very apparent and seems to be fairly well widely known that the Greenville News does not print anything about Clemson unless it is edited and approved by Kathy Sams, PR Clemson. I wonder why FITS doesn’t do more to investigate and expose this more? Obvioulsy, we know that the Clemson Administration is reeling a bit right now because of sordid little stories that have escaped thru Ms. Sams fingers and made it’s way to the light of day. Some folks say the BOT have openly (in their meetings) discussed the “bad publicity, the bad comments” and “wished they would go away because they were concerned that it was hurting donations”. No kidding there, BOT. Their actions have certainly taken mine from meaningful to minimum and, now to zero and lot’s of acquaintances have followed suit.
