Ariail On Castro’s Last Laugh

Say what you want about hopelessly liberal La Socialista (a.k.a. The State newspaper), but its former political cartoonist Robert Ariail is a genius.

In fact, while we’ve been relishing all the layoffs taking place at the paper over the past few months, news of Ariail’s departure truly saddened us … at least it did until we found his new website.

He’s pretty fair all in all.

Was one thing worth looking for in The State (besides omnipresent local violent crime and Spurrier updates.)

Welcome back Ariail! Political cartooning is an inimitable art form, and it is great to have one of the masters back at work. Sic, or Ariail if you’re reading this, it would be great to tell the public what we can do so you can cartoon for food.
