But giving him no credit is also a stretch. He is the commander-in-chief. Had the operation failed (and thank the lord it did not), would you have criticized the Seals? Probably not. So we have to be fair here. So like in the mafia, 20% goes to the head of the family when a job is done right. In this grossly inappropriate but illustrative analogy, the Seals are the hit men. Can any of you, though, tell me that you would have held forth the same judgment on a president McCain if the exact same events had transpired? Of course not. It's not about truth or honest analysis, it's about gathering evidence to support a preconceived notion. Ask yourself if there's a conceivable situation where you would support president Obama? If he funded the Raptor? If he gave massive tax breaks to the obscenely rich? Embraced the entire GOP platform? I'm thinking no. This whole 5 day spectacle was pitiful. The picture of a USN destroyer pulling a life boat with armed teenagers holding an American hostage was almost surreal. Obama's foot-dragging nearly cost the captain his life. This episode should have ended within five minutes of the US Navy's arrival. The excessive delay in decisive action reveals Obama's innate inability to make critical decisions in a timely matter. O yea, that U.S. military that saved Capt. Phillips is being gutted by Obama. He's so proud of the our armed forces that he's elimating funding of critical force mulitipliers like the F22 Raptor. Our air force long range bomber development has also been shelved.
