While America continues to shed jobs at an alarming clip, the U.S. House of Representatives doled out $9.1 million in bonuses to its staffers – an average increase of 17% of their salary in the fourth quarter of last year.

The U.S. Senate has yet to report its bonuses.

Didn’t hear about any of this? Oh right … we’ve all been glued to Barack Obama’s European Vacation all week, haven’t we?

Anyway, after the explosion of political outrage last month over the AIG bonuses (which Obama’s Treasury Department approved) it’s funny that these taxpayer-funded bonuses aren’t getting more attention.

It’s also funny that the $210 million in bonuses being paid to Fannie and Freddie executives – i.e. the idiots most responsible for America’s economic collapse – isn’t getting much ink, either.

You’d think people would be rioting or something …
