I don’t recall Reagan ever thanking himself before an international audience. If he had, I’m sure it would be comedy gold and we still would be watching it on MSNBC. I’m sure leaders from other countries think Obama is an absolute idiot.

Speaking of stupidity, Clinton’s “recharge” button fiasco is symbolic of the utter incompetence of Obama’s foreign policty team. We will never win another cold war against the Ruskies if our “best and brightest” are too dumb to grasp basic Russian.

Brilliant strategy, except you’re not fooling anybody and it just highlights the fact that you guys do not have a substantive reply.

There’s a difference between someone who uses a teleprompter because they need it, and someone who uses one because it’s a good idea. I’ve seen enough non-prompted speeches and unscripted debates & interviews by Obama to understand that he has an actual grasp of the issues, and can talk about them off the top of his head without sounding like an idiot—except for his unfortunate reliance on the famous “uhs” to stall for time to gather his thoughts.

Of course, I’m sure Bard and Sylivia were just BLOWN AWAY by Palin’s nomination acceptance speech, even after it became clear that without a teleprompter and a speech written by someone else that she made GWB look like a master wordsmith.
