Sic Willie’s NCAA Tournament bracket was officially busted tonight as the top-seeded Pitt Panthers hung on in the final minute of their East Regional semifinal match-up against Xavier.
For a moment, though, it seemed as if our founding editor’s ridiculous fantasy of an fourth-seeded Atlantic 10 team taking the national title might actually come true.
The Musketeers put up a valiant fight, leading by eight at the half and battling the Panthers all the way down to the wire.
But it was not to be.
So why did Sic pic Xavier to go all the way?
