Lexington-Richland CFO Resigns
The chief financial officer for one of South Carolina’s largest, most scandal-plagued school districts has been fired, district officials have confirmed to FITS.
Brock Heron – CFO of Lexington-Richland School District 5 – was fired from his position yesterday in the wake of ongoing issues associated with the school’s financial reporting.
Lexington-Richland 5 is one of only four districts in the state that has not yet provided financial details – including its current fund balance – to the State Department of Education.
It’s the latest scandal to rock the embattled district.
Last year, District 5’s superintendent and one of its principals were forced to resign after an exclusive FITS report exposed both official and personal indiscretions.
Since then, two sex scandals at different high schools have engulfed the district.

Now if only all but one of the members of the board would resign. The voters in this district have really messed it up.

6 months ago Lex-Rich $5 were shoving enrollment growth projections down the throats of deer in the headlight parents only to turn around a few months later and admit enrollment is DECLINING – rapidly – resulting in 60 teachers being shown the door.
How many times do you have to point out the math problems in South Carolina???

Fortunately, many of the people that have supported the radical shift in D5 have realized that, well…they were wrong after all. There are some of us that warned voters of the lies coming from this district and now they are figuring out what is going on. District Five is no different than the rest of the country, people are exploding and ready make a (gulp) change.

What else is going on in this district. I have heard there are two other District cabinet members, or principals, who are in trouble of losing their jobs. Why is this so quiet???

I’ve heard the same thing but the rumor mill has it that it’s Lee Bollman, the asst super, and the CHS principal who are or about to be fired. Why is this so quiet…..?

To Susan P: Well now I have heard the same names. And now Lee Bollman’s secretary has been reassigned. This is the biggerst cover up in District €Five’s history. Come on. The assistant superintendent has been reassigned. Where??? And now his Secretary has been reassigned. Come on Fits News. What is your connection?????
