No one would go to CSOL if they had a spot at USC. People may claim that, but it is just not try. CSOL needs to come out with some job stats to show off how awesome that $40,000/year price is.

Just how are we so much worse as we still have plenty of funding for our professors and activities. We have a great vibe around our school.

THAT’S why we want to pay $30,000 a year. Although there are plenty of people at CSOL who also were accepted at USC Law, we choose not to look at that statistic for the value of our school because, as you said, “Our school sucks. Seriously it does.”

Our school sucks. Seriously it does. The adjunct faculty thing was really bad and the budget shortfalls have really created an awful vibe around the whole place. Also, our building is an embarrassment but I don’t see the new one being built before 2025. The list goes on and on…

However, as bad as our school is, CSOL is comically worse.

Name one of your classmates that could have gone to USC S of L that decided instead to pay $30,000 per year to go to CSOL instead. Didn’t think so.

USC Law recently had its budget slashed and then slashed again!! USC Law had to cut all adjunct faculty members, cut funding for SBA activities, moot court, law review, etc. Also, alumni generally despise their law school experience at USC Law–the “new law school” plans have been on the table for almost 10 years now. Also, USC Law is getting a little sneaky–they can make their students solicit donations! And, they don’t have to pay them! In 1825, a group of Charleston attorneys chartered The Forensic Club, a place to provide lectures on the law.

In February 1826, The Forensic Club offered lectures in the law to begin what essentially was the South’s earliest law school.

Hi. I ran for 3rdVP of USC UPState CR 2 years ago and am really wanting to get into CSOL for law school. I made a 137 LSAT and have 2.1 GPA, but I am into public service. Does CSOL help people like me? Can I introduce you to the GOP Club there – I have like tons of Facebook friends there.

“Finally, I know the Bar Exam Wills testing section looks bad and a lot of CSOL kids went from failing to passing, but I think they should have anyway. How can you try to make the CSOL children take the same hard test as everyone else?! That is not fair. They have pressures on their time in Charleston that are not present other places.”

That post has got to be a joke. Right? Right??! God help us all if that’s the attitude of the parents who raised the latest generation of lawyers. I can see it now, “But Your Honor…that’s not fair! I was busy and didn’t have time to prepare. Ask my mom!”
