Your Tax Dollars At Work, Forest Acres-Style
In case you’re unfamiliar with the “Joan Brady Brand” of Republicanism, it involves spending gobs of money on everything under the sun, whether those things are core functions of government or not.
And while Brady no longer represents the town of Forest Acres, S.C. (she’s elevated her “game” to the S.C. State House now), it would appear that her philosophy of wasteful spending is still alive and well there.
That’s because according to our sources, Forest Acres has shelled out $50,000 to “sponsor” a 17-year-old high school student who races, um, whatever the hell kind of car this is …
… a mob ride?
Anyway, here’s Forest Acres describing itself on the “Partners Page” of the website belonging to Jordan Anderson, the kid who drives whatever the hell those things are …
Nestled among old growth pines and hardwoods, the City of Forest Acres was incorporated in 1935 in part to encourage the residential qualities that will always be cherished as imparting a small town feel in urban surroundings. Jordan Anderson is proud to call the City of Forest Acres his hometown!
Sheesh. The only thing that’s shocking about this story is that Brady hasn’t gotten this kid matching funding at the state level.
A “competitive grant,” maybe.
